@Markuson Thank you sir! Love the location, I plan to put my cell phone on the driver side lower bolt!

It takes some fiddling so that the longer bolt still tightens the handle base properly...so just make sure you have washers handy so you can stack as needed. This lets you fully tighten the handle, and also allow the ball to escape the pillar a bit for easier angled attachments. Not a big deal. Just be prepared for some minor fiddling, and don’t go nuts with wrench torque.

Any info on that specific solution?

Also, what bumper is that??

Camera is molded into a spare center cap that I cut out.
Remove the camera and pop off the interior trim hatch. Splice in a long loom of extension wires and route around and up the interior of the hatch and out the rubber boot in the top.
Route down the side, tucking behind the trim, and out the back near the swing arm pivot area.

The bumper is the VPR4x4 that everyone hates on. :p It was less than $2000 shipped during last years black Friday sale.
At that price, I couldn't pass it up. It has a lot of custom work I've done on it with the whole trail can/ license plate mount. I had to modify it to work with the Gobi ladder, as well.

Question for those with this bumper.

I currently have the Baja ladder which I can use to get in and out of the Alu-Cab RTT

The Slee Bumper ladder is set back a bit and not as tall. Any experience using the Slee bumper ladder to get up to the roof rack or climb in and out of an RTT?

What’s the additional departure clearance with the arb rear bumper vs stock? I would like to get a Slee but don’t want to deal with swing outs on a daily basis.

You CAN run the Slee without the swing-outs. Not something you’ll want to take on and off all the time, but you can. Slee has spindle covers so that you can.

About the ARB rear... The difference in strength is massive. If you hit the ARB side wings? They will bend up and in like crazy. I have seen it first hand multiple times. -But if you hit the Slee? The thing does...not...move. Saved my entire right side. So departure angle isn’t everything. In my thinking, there isn’t much point in armor if the armor moves or deforms upon routine, normal impact. Give me strength...or just give me OEM tupperware bumpers. ;)

That makes a big difference! I didn’t realize you could without swing outs. Stupid question, can you just run a tire swing out? How easy is it to install and uninstall the swing outs? Also, how long did Christos crew take to install your bumper? I’m headed to Colorado 1st of July for 10days. If i get the rear bumper, I’m hooky he could send it off to powder coat match my truck. If you have additional pics, more close of the rear without swing outs, that would be greatly appreciated

Thanks for inputs. Back to my question on how functional is the ladder when access the roof rack :)

Ok, I’ll chat with you later. Actually having wine with the Mrs. while I cruise the forum in/out. Lol

I’ve climbed my Slee ladder and gotten up on to my Frontrunner rack a few times. No problem. My kids are a bit faster at it than me. :)

Hi, though I might be able to clear up a couple of points.

The bumper must be purchased as a complete unit. We do offer nice O-ringed spindle covers to help prevent any rust when removing any of our swing outs.

The tire carrier can be ran stand alone (but not the ladder). This is because the latch is mounted on the tire carrier.

Bumper install generally takes a full day. We are now shipping this bumper if that interests you.

Our sales guys would be more than happy to answer any other questions you may have about install, price, scheduling.

Ken, I think you and I have the same Gamiviti rack. No issues getting up and down.

Cheers!

Cool. Thanks Jackson! I also think if I moved the rear camera I can move the gobi ladder to the right a bit between the ladder and tire assemblies.

Anyone relocate to the underside of the rear spoiler :)

That’s great to hear. I would have you guys install it. If I pre-purchased it, would you be able to have it color matched before I come out?

I am going to go for the bumper. Christo has one in stock for me. I will take my Gobi ladder off and see how it goes. Best use was for the RTT which comes with a ladder for the side of the vehicle. Spoiler gets in the way of the rear in any case.

Be a bit as I am waiting for the slee skids and will also switch to the BP51 suspension

My ARB Bumper is going to my Nephews 200

Beautiful bumper for sure and on my wish list. I just don't have an extra 4.5k laying around right now :(
