Are you calling from a 970 area code?
My phone thinks it’s smart and seems to not ring if it thinks it’s spam, won’t even let it go to voicemail.

I assume we can call you back or you’ll leave a message?

This looks like a great bit of organization, really appreciate it.
My phone does the same thing, hadn’t even thought this could be the case. 😳

Yeah, I missed a call today that indicated spam. Hoping that wasn’t you @ThatKOAGuy

He is calling from the 970 area code. I’ll let him know and maybe he could drop you a text message or mud message before calling.

I got my call yesterday. Caller ID on Apple phone says KOA Campground Ouray. I am booked! 970.325.4736 is the number that came in. Hope that helps everyone.
And like mentioned earlier, DO NOT CALL THEM.

@ThatKOAGuy

Hey Jeff! I’ve played phone tag with your folks for about a week now. My work schedule gets kind of zany and it’s easy to miss a call when I’m in the thick of it. Since we’re not supposed to call back, can we arrange a time to get on the phone together?

Hey SASers,
If you have any questions for the KOA and have not heard back, please give me a heads up. I am the contact person for KOA-SAS.
Jeff is a busy GM at the KOA and if I can help make things easier or answer questions for him, I will if I can.
Any questions or concerns you are welcome to private message me here.
Hope all is warm and well!

Hey @Mesa Woman. Thanks for your time and energy on this! Only question I have is if I should have heard from @ThatKOAGuy yet or is he still making his way through the list? Just don't want to have missed his call somehow. Thanks again!

He’s still making his way through the list. Hang tight and if all has been called and he’s waiting on a few, he’ll let me know.
I’ve got ya!

Please make sure you give yourself plenty of time to do several shake down runs and not leaving SAS to be a shakedown run…

Less than 7mo and counting!
Best of Luck on your build!!
I feel attacked....

Hoping to get this Pig up and running this year regardless if I attend as a registrant or a passenger this year..

Here’s the snow report for this morning. This picture is from Hinsdale County at 9,500 feet. It was -10°F this morning, with zero snow accumulation from the last storm. We’re not there at the moment, but it looks like there’s about eight inches of snowpack on the valley floor. It’s dry. Who else has a snow report to share?

For reference, this is Hermit Lakes, a hunting and fishing club between of Creede and Lake City. The peak to the left is just north of Stony Pass, which drops down into Silverton.

Bandit Rock sits a few miles from the fork in the road that leads to the back way into Hermit Lakes, a route closed in the 1990s for preservation. The faint paint markings on Bandit Rock might look like graffiti, but they are remnants from mining and supply store advertisements that served Creede and Silverton back in the late 1800s. My grandpa always said that the rock got its name from thieves who would hide behind it to ambush the Pony Express and miners, looking to strike it rich with gold.

I have not heard from anyone at KOA yet either.

They have a long list to get through and there are only two employees making the calls, please be patient.
If they have issues reaching you, they’ll either let me know or try to message you here.
They did have some issues come up at the KOA that took priority over calling SASers. Like frozen/broken water pipes..
hang in there.

I haven’t either, but contacted Mesa Woman and she assured us to all hang tight.
My registration was time stamped 11 minutes after it went live, she said they might not be exactly going in the order of registration.
So if you’re looking at the order and wondering why you haven’t been called that might be why.
There’s plenty of time.

ETA Well she beat me to it!
