Call Rosen and ask them to send you the old base. They recently changed it to make itore universal, but the old base works perfectly and there's only two holes in it!Installed mine today, very cool. I'm not a huge fan of the slotted screw hole universal foot setup but I guess I can live with it.
Have thought about 3D printing a base to better fit the original holes and headliner indentation and keep the elongated slotted foot from digging into the headliner.
@KC masterpiece I can see why you can't angle yours down as much as you should, the instructions tell you to loosen the set screw on the foot and the screw through the ball so you can rotate everything around so the main post is roughly vertical coming down off the roof. Yours are at like a 45 degree angle, which would limit the range of motion significantly. It's very fiddly to get the adjustment right.
True story! Lol.And another item I didn't know I needed just got added to the list. It doesn't matter how many items I cross off this list, it just keeps on growing......
This is an interesting solution, pretty cool! I find that I can use the visor clip to keep the visors "tucked" when not in use.Local guy asked me for a block off plate for the now useless visor clip. After drooling over these visors again...these are just a short version of of the clips I make for the LS400 and LS430 swap, so they were pretty easy.

Visor mirror block off plate for Rosen Sunvisor Systems
Visor mirror block off plate this is mainly for those who have installed Rosen sun visors in their 80 Series Landcruiser or LX450 so you can remove the now useless clip and block off the screw hole. These are sold in a pair, screws are not included.solvefunction.com
@cobrasteen Ah nice, would you want a mount that fits the shade a little better or is that good enough?
I was thinking of a slot that the visor could slide into. It looks a little Cockeyed in the picture. The engineer in me says these do the job but the perfectionist in me has to say that there is always a more elegant solution lol. Especially something that would better flow with the Rosen design.
What did you have in mind? I can take some more pics to show a better representation if need be. The main shortcoming is that it does seem like its barely contacting but I havent seen it shake itself out of that position.
Interested in hearing more... I have this on the list for my Troopy.A Rosen guy stopped by the shop yesterday. They are looking to improve their product and also offer it for other models.
Cheers
Ordered a pair via email on June 4, and they were delivered to Cincinnati on June 11. Each of my Toyota visors were missing a screw at the base. I was able to harvest two screws from the visor holders to mount the Rosen visors.
I also got the Rosen visors with the redesigned base. Although the base does not provide a perfect match for the imprint in the roof, the base feels sturdy when adjusting the orientation of the visor. I'm happy so far (in the garage).
Here's a view of the driver side (LH). The base only partially covers the electrical access hole in the roof. It's not that big of deal to me because when the visor is up, the visor hides the base.
