I'm going to be placing an order for an overhead console and some door panel speaker pods...if anyone is interested, we can probably save some money on shipping if we order a few.

Door panels will work on all 70 series trucks, brown or grey(not sure if brown is brown or tan...will get clarification). The door pockets are NOT included with the panels.

The console is only for the 79 single cab trucks....so probably not too many orders for those.

Order will go in at the beginning of the year. 3-4 weeks for production, no idea on shipping time.

PM me for pricing.

Are these from the Department of the interior in Aus? If so, I may want the door cards and rear console speaker thingy.

Nope. They won't ship to the US.

Ya I am interested.

You won’t get anything out of Australia for consoles, unless you have the exact model they are made for. Been there and done that, they simply would not sell to me even through a 3rd party.

I took measurements and it seems to me a 76/78/79 would fit our 25+ year old 70’s.

Cheers

We went thru the measurements and all that...they were mostly concerned that I had the larger cab(not the 75)....they were a bit hesitant but I think we're going to be good. I'll roll the dice...if it's not right, I'll make it right.

I think I read where the overhead consoles worked for the 76 as well as the 79.

Speaker pods work on all 70s according to them. Which makes sense because my 73's door panels sure look like my 2009 panels.

PM me what you want so I can get you on the list...this is getting a little more interest than I planned.

Well my client wants an overhead, the truck has brown/tan interior. I kind of gave up on it, what kind of an ETA would we be looking at?

Cheers

Will PM you about this.

That looks pretty similar to the console I have in my 88 BJ74. It is from RONO in australia but I'm not sure they are still in business anymore.

I'm not sure if I'm going to keep this in or not. Depends on how much I want to take the top off.

Cool setup. I really like the ones that recess the visors into them vs. just attaching to the bottom of the shelf. Nice detail.

I do like the looks of the ones you showed as carpet is a little funky...although it kinda matches the rig.

I never really even noticed that they are recessed up into there, that is a good idea. Probably because I only sit it in every few weeks to make vroom noises. The engine rebuild is coming along, slowly.

The door card pods look great! I wish I could swing getting those right now, but I just need to get running first.

Judging by the fact that the radio is on the right it would seem that the vehicle pictured, is RHD - don't tell me that, that supplier is also South African ? I too gave up on Dept of The Interior and went for a "barebones" custom alu "shelf" just to mount the aux fuel gauge at this stage, because I could not find suitable suppliers !

I'm in the exact same mission with the very same folks .. I'm set on the speaker pods and still undecided which console to get.

Also not sure about the center console ( they have a bracket for the Dometic CDF-11 ) or the shifter surrounding.

I've had a lot of dialogue with the people supplying the parts and they've been super helpful....looking forward to getting them here.

Maybe once I get a console here, I can measure it and we can see if it will work on the 75s or any other trucks.

Found a few more pics.....tan is definitely oak. They were calling it brown.

The console is really cool....it will NOT fit a 75. They used to make them but they don't make them any longer as the 75 is outdated.

I don't think this is a 79.....must be a 76.

Rears are available for the 76.....and 4 door 79s. Would be nice if ordering some pods for one of those!

Are they going to reverse the radio hole in the top for LHD?

The tan panels appear to be shorter than the Grey ones?

My console is going to be 4 pockets....no radio hole. I'm sure they could switch it over if needed.
