I just ordered a set.The weak link appears to be the two factory M8 bolts that secure the upper bracket.
I just ordered a set.
Would it be good to plan to drill and tap it to M10x1.5?
I currently have about 3" front and 3" rear lift and have a Whiteline HD rear coming to replace my bent stock bar.
My ideal frame to center without having the sway bar hang lower that the LCA's looks to be ~9 1/8".
Thanks Phil!
Quick product testimonial - was playing on some rocks in Last Chance Canyon and came down with a loud clang. Crawled under the rig for a look-see and found my Whiteline swaybar gouged and pushed out an inch or so to one side in the bushings. The swaybar side bracket of the LCP HD link had a slight bend to it as but was holding strong.
NO doubt a stock link would have pretzeled with that impact and it would have been a much bigger trail repair - swaybar removal and possibly more damaged parts. Instead I just grimaced at having run out of talent and drove on my merry way, completing the trip without thinking about it again.
LCP then sent out a new lower bracket gratis even though I probably could have run the bent one without any ill effect. I re-centered the swaybar in the bushings and I'm back to new. Stoked!

I am dying on the install. Drill bit too small... wiggle in the hole till Rivnut will go in, now hole is too big for Rivnut. Am I sourcing welded bungs now or what? Incredibly frustrated and appreciate any and all help.
Thanks Jason - thought occurred to me as well - if the one I finally got to take in that spot fails, I can weld a bead around it / close it in some, re-drill, and try again. As with most of my projects, took way longer than expected. I got aggravated and shoulda taken a break, had a snack and something to drink. First and second Rivnut were the worst, last 2 went much easier. All good now, and if my rib it’s give me trouble later, should be alright. Fit and finish on the product is great.
Nice. Probably handles like a different truck with the new rear swaybar compared to your old setup.Discovered my stock sway bar was bent a few months back. Prolly been that way for 10 years. Finally got a WL rear sway bar on to go with the LCP links. Never realized my old 92 semi float sway bar I was still running is smaller diameter than a FF one.

On this test I unbolted the front shock to see if it would go beyond the 6.5” of droop available. Cab felt super flat and stable so I could have gone more.
Front droop:
Traditional style control arms- 2.75”
Superior hyperflex w/no or stock swaybar- 5.5”
Sup + LCP + WL bar- 7”+
Next I’ll grab some longer front shocks since I’ve proven I can get benefit and the total 8.25” droop extension from them.
The rear sway links are set to the minimum length to keep them next to the LCAs and not hanging lower at ride height. On this test it was limiting rear flex on my 6” lift shocks on 3” lift. I forgot to lay a tape measure on it while I had it flexed to see how much it stopped at. I don’t think limiting droop on my rear was making it less stable. Seems like it actually makes it more stable by minimizing rear roll and making the front do most of the work.
So for the guy.... me... that got all crazy and drilled the hole too big... what now? It went in tight and had to hammer in but just spins now on the rivnut...View attachment 2551919
these things are killer, Thanks Phil!
and yeah, dont get all balzy and drill the holes too big for the Rivnuts.
You might need to get a rivnut gun instead of trying to compress it with the bolt. The gun won't spin the rivnutSo for the guy.... me... that got all crazy and drilled the hole too big... what now? It went in tight and had to hammer in but just spins now on the rivnut...![]()
I pinched it a bit. Gave it a bulge and then persuaded it into its home. Then reefed it tight. So for the guy.... me... that got all crazy and drilled the hole too big... what now? It went in tight and had to hammer in but just spins now on the rivnut...![]()
Don't sweat it. I didn't even bother with the nutserts and just welded them the same way you did. Would be easy enough to remove if necessary.
