The boot proved to be no problem. Silicone and done.
Everything out and saying goodbye to my beautiful floors!

Was not unhappy with how this stuff laid out.

Got all back together

Took it out for a drive and at first was not too amazed and then I started to hear how loud the gaps were in my door and how a little whistle was actually a howl. Then took my friend for a ride and the benefits were confirmed. I can’t hear a pin drop but now I can talk hear the person in the back seat. I have reached the ‘books on tape’ ready vehicle!!

I still haven’t yet addressed the exhaust yet either. So it will be even more quiet with that accomplished. Got a strategy, but am waiting to get some mentorship before I order the bends and such. Gotta guy though, I am going to do it myself this time. That is, the aft end of the system.

So these were the steps

Sandblast
Epoxy primer
Two coats of single stage paint
Two coats of lizard skin acoustic
Two coats of lizard skin heat barrier
Linex ( do stil wish that would have been enough)
5/8ths inch foam
Finally indoor out door carpet on which a coat of Linex was sprayed on the bottom

Oh yeah, that boot on the transfer case. Can’t believe I never knew there was such a boot!!!

Feel like there some success here.

Have yet to take my other friend that said I needed an intercom system and gas mask to ride in the rig :(! He will be the actual confirmation! I am hopeful!
