The Yankee owner does not want it up in the salt and filth of winter so it’s sitting here.

We did decide to put a Sniper on it so I’ll do that soon enough.

R2D2 has been sitting in the corn crib lot for 2 months. I was fully expecting it to be graveyard dead after the week of stupid cold weather and being ignored for so long.

I have a free day to work on it before I get back on a FJ45 I’m working on so I got it nice and clean so I can start picking my way down the line

Fluids
Clutch (rear main is leaking)
Knuckle job
Sniper

Parts have been collected so it’s time to get busy.

I have about a week left on the 45 and I’ll knock this one out and ship it to the Yankee in wait.

Drained all the fluids and sent them packing in the Smudge pot

Pulled the shafts and skid and went to town pulling the driveline out.

Buttoned up the clutch job today. It was shot. Glad I got it done.

Busted my slide hammer pilot bearing puller and had to resort to the bread trick. I had to resort to the bread trick and it took almost an entire Hawaiian hamburger bun


The underside was cleaned and got a liberal coat of Fluid Film to protect it from the Yankees

While I was in the air I added the O2 sensor.

Satisfying but just a plain ole grind.

Wrapped up the knuckle job and changed the oil and added a big boi Toyota filter.

Hopefully next week I’ll get the Desmog and Sniper done.

you have luck or skill. I am 0 for 5 with the easy out. I am 2 for 3 welding a new bolt/nut on.

100% luck. That’s the only small one I could find. The rest of the set was snapped off

Desmog/Sniper has begun.

I blasted the engine bay as best I could with my pressure washer then went to work getting all this crap off the motor.

A mouse had lived in the air cleaner this winter.

I’ve got it down to where I can clean it up more. It’s amazing how much room you get under the hood without the smog crap

This pile goes off to Powder Keg tomorrow

I have a lot of stuff here. The owner is a hoarder of sorts, Ill have to ask. That said, we took all this same stuff off of Lou's Milk Jug too. I know he will let it go cheap.

I just bought a smog set from @antichrist
Should be here in a couple of days and am going to go through it and see if anything else is needed(shipping a few other parts next month to me as well) and I will reach out to you, if you can ask if he would be willing to part with any of it?

I've got smog stuff in my garage looking for a kali home as well.

Did not get much done today but a good CLR scrub of the engine bay.
