Just spent the last hour replacing a caliper hard line on the 60. Had a pin size hole in it that I found as I drove to work lol. Line wasn’t rusted and looked newer. I have learned that metric thread lines are hard to find around roanoke.

Amazon has metric tube nuts that will work:

Stainless Steel Metric Brake Line Imperial & Bubble Flare Fitting for 3/16" Tube. 10 x 1 mm (Pack of 10) Amazon product ASIN B01KNGVV0S

Picking away at surface rust..

I ended up buying these off Amazon when I was doing my 40 earlier this year but they were $2.70 each at the time and free shipping. Just cut the nuts off. They worked ok but weren't as good as these OEM spec flare nuts I begged @Rainman to sell me. These are going in my kit since I've now busted 2 hard brake lines on my 80 on recent wheeling trips.

@1MOA im super impressed that you’re going to have it all installed and done in time for wheeling on the 14th.
I am not sure about that time line. advanced forgot to send the center pin so it’s all on hold until that makes its way East.

You planning on riding out Eta?
Yep. We've been 20+mph winds almost constantly since Tuesday (it's Friday now), and they have also been forecasting constant rains that should have started Wednesday and gone through at least mid-next week. We got 2 5 minute showers today, otherwise bone dry. Eta hit Nicaragua yesterday as a Cat 4 and was downgraded to a Tropical Storm again this morning since the mountains there threw it for a loop. Nobody's sure what will become of it now. Drove to Key West today (95 miles) and it was pretty much sunny and clear the whole time. Started to cloud up around 6pm.

Not as crowded as it used to be but there was still a line of about 100 people waiting for a pic near the southernmost point marker. We just drove around exploring because we didn’t expect to have gone that far and had to meet a someone (another Mudder, as usual!) in Big Pine Key.

Side note: No Name Pub in BPK is fantastic.

I'd have had to stop by Sloppy Joes for....wait for it....some sloppy joes. Had one the one and only time I've been in Key West and it was amazing.

Was thinking that as I was reading JohnVee's response. I've had countless Sloppy Joe's there, you never get tired of them, fantastic. I'm glad there were a good amount of people there even now. If it hasn't already, I'm confident that Key West will be restored to it's former glory.

It may not be the right way of fixing a gas tank pump bracket. But it should work on a time crunch.

And it doesn’t leak!
