Driven daily for nearly 6 months now.

It was never supposed to go many kms on the road, but it's just the way it's turned out with delay after delay with my other projects.

That truck was built by Bruce Miller if I'm not mistaken. I've got the second truck in the attached link (the light green one). For some reason neither of the 3 trucks in his pics had the wipers on 'em. My truck had wipers in the glove box but they weren't in any condition to do any good on the glass anyway.

Ive posted this before , but it's been awhile. This was a 7 year project for me ,as i had not ever owned a FJ40 before. 350 SBC mated to stock 4spd Toyota tranny. Factory transfer case and 4:11 gearing on 35 x12 wheels mounted to 15" forged alloys. 4 wheel disc brakes. I wanted to keep this pretty much stock looking except for the 4" Downey lift and rear fender flares.

Hey Jerzfj40, I love that Classic white. Any more shots?

Nooo... no clue what you paid but the short version is that within 90 days of owning mine I had stuffed another ten large in it. I look at it differently than I have some of the other toys I've had. A buddy of mine paid north of $50k for a pickup in '09. Nice, nice ride... but it ain't a '45 and in 10 years his won't be worth jack but mine will and so will yours. The added bonus is I'll still enjoy driving mine but he'll be shopping for a spot to sink another 50 large.

The other thing I think is a little funny about this kind of thing is that he and many many others that have absolutely gorgeous new trucks can pull into any parking lot and nobody finds their truck interesting in the least. You on the other hand can barely go anywhere without being accosted by somebody that'd love to have your truck; or drive it; or even just stand back and look at it.

There's a reason for that.

Totally agree. I'm not even upset about what I paid, and have already had 3 offers on it for more. The prices on the link were rather attractive comparatively, but in the end, I got what I want and love it :)

Jerz,

Beautiful 40!

Are my eyes playing tricks on me or what? In the lower pic it looks like it's either shorter or the fenderwell opening was lengenthed?

Those prices are a little stale, too. That website has prices posted from when my (light green) truck sold to the guy I bought it from. That was a few years back.

Sooooo true!

i was on a date and i drove the 42 with the doors off to go get sushi, anyhow when we walked out of the restaurant there were 3 girls standing by it taking pictures and stuff. i didnt say anything but i think my date was a little jealous... she then said cool aint it, to get their attention. the girls apologized and said that it was just the coolest truck they had ever seen and wanted pictures with it, i told them i didnt care and if they wanted they could snap a couple more as we were in no hurry.

these girls were younger / potential jail bait, good looking and had to be no older than early 20's (like myself) and im sure none of them knew anything about vehicles of any kind at all. but the fact that it didnt just blend in as "some jeep" even to someone who knows nothing about different vehicles made me proud.
tho i was more proud when they called it a truck and not a jeep:D

just yet another reason to own a cool cruiser.

TTT

If it's a clean daily driver, let's see the pics!
