some update ,working on dual filler neck ,almost done , did not spend enough time on it busy with other project ...
@goranvolvo
Did you remove the flap/door inside the filler neck? Im at this point right now. I grabbed 2 necks from part out trucks. I want to use the elbows for the aux tank.

Took this pic to today to see where it needs to be cut for the nozzle to reach the split to be able to fill either tank in case someone wants to follow this path.

i used dremel tool to cut that flap out and that filler neck looks a bit to long i left enough so i can weld it in and add went pipe to it
before you weld the filler neck you need to put all that in and test fit make sure you have right angle
and looks like you will need to cut that conduit lower so you get bigger opening for OEM filler neck
if you go to page #3 where everything i mounted you can se zip tie and part off metal bracket i used to hold everything from rattling i used conduit hanger and bolted it in holle for factory dual neck system

Yeah I need to cut the neck and conduit a lil more. I dont have my truck right now to test fit them. I need to add the vent hose to the neck and transfer hose to the oem pipe. I'm excited to get this done.

Thanks for keeping this going. I appreciate the additional documentation on the filler neck. I'm hoping to start mine this Winter.

I just finished this after spending a good hour to remove the restrictor and some $ for the dremel cutoff wheels and my buddy said i fked up. CA laws require the gas restrictor to pass smog. Oh well, that's why got 2 filler necks for things like this.

Loving the low budget here but certainly a job for practiced hands. Question though, do all the 80s in the US come standard with the main/sub tank setups?

The restrictor check has been removed from the CA smog inspection, since leaded gasoline is no longer available.

The thing you might have trouble with is the fact that you have made changes that affect the evaporative emissions system.

there is no option for SUB tank in usa , no DIESEL engine , no 5 speed ,fridge ... and all that good stuff

Bummer! yeh i had noticed the lack of diesels over there (they are very sought after here). Is it not easy enough to mimic the standard sub tank system like the one i have and getting the parts direct from Toyota and installing them yourself?

Toyota will not sell all of the parts here plus its expensive.

Looks like you did not notice my whole setup is custom homemade if someone goes my route your link is usles 350 $ that is good i still have 250$ in my packet and more fuel and i was not being smart ass so sory for hearting your fealings and now pis off

Fair enough. Pitty it is a great setup. We have a lot that get wrecked here and the sub/main tanks often get pulled out to make way for LPG conversions. They are fairly light so i couldn't imagine the shipping being anywhere what TOyota want. Maybe i should start an export business to the states for sub tank setups :)
