looks like you got it really high you can even tell there is tank
i installed my tank lower so i can se the top of tank or if i want to change the dose so i can stick my hand in there without removing the tank and i did not have any clearance problems
it does not look like isuzu tank
looks good
now you can instal one off cheap ebay LED gauge what can be calibrated to the sending unit or if you want OEM gauge you need to do what i did swap level reader with toyota leader

I have landed hard on my bumper a few times so I installed mine as high as I possibly could. I plan to build a skid plate for it out of aluminum. It's an ebay 20 gallons tank. I have 1.5" body lift and it fits in there nicely. Can't tell if it is even there. I cut off the wire and removed the floater from the pump as I didnt plan on wiring the fuel gauge. Now that I think about it I shouldn't have done so. I will just fill up both tanks and transfer over when my Ultragauge read 8 gallons so the pump does not run dry.

Tested and no leak.

@ontopofm , is that an S10 Blazer tank? If so, I have the same one I'm planning on putting under my 80. It looks like you're leaving the stock pump in the tank, and drawing through it with your Holley? Any reason you didn't just use the pump that was in it? (that's what I'm planning on...along with a gauge)

I have a new problem now of not getting enough gas to fill both tanks when the card stops you at $100 like in @ontopofm's post. Otherwise I am getting 450+ miles to light coming on.

That Holley blue pump can run dry, at least for a while so not too big of a deal. I just transfer when I drop below 1/4 tank and generally shut it off about 20 minutes or so later when the factory gauge gets up over 3/4 full and stops going up.

The Holley Blue can run dry for hours:eek: Im sure it is not recommended but mine has done it without issue more than once.

$100 and not full I paid $1.99/gal yesterday :flipoff2:

Yes it is the S10 tank. I bought the sending unit without the pump so I can use it as a pick up tube and breather. The send unit has 4 tubes, 1 for pick up, 1 for breather, and I sealed the other 2 with hot glue. I went with Holley like @LandCruiserPhil for easy replacement in case the pump goes bad.

Oh so that was why my card stopped at $100. I thought my tanks were full lol. I plan to transfer over when the gauge goes below 1/4 mark.

I was in AZ 2 wks ago but couldnt finish the tank on time. Arco is $2.56 here. Good to know the pump can run dry.

When I went up to Drummond Island I filled up (or tried) with premium at $2.89/gal. I make it a point to not look at the price, but when the pump stopped I said wtf? Then saw it.

anybody know of mudders currently building or willing to build the dual neck plumbing?

What are the dimensions of the Trooper tank?

I'm assuming the Trooper tank is mounted 180 degrees of it's original design as the filler is on the opposite side in a Trooper unless the filler was relocated. It does come with a nice skid plate that may be adaptable.
