starting my auxiliary tank installation don't have all parts but will post pictures as i go
got the tank off salvage yard for 50 $ with sending unit and bottom protective metal i got some idea about dual fill but not done yet ..

So what's the tank out of?

Are you going to do anything about the rust?

Por-15 on the outside would be fine

If you meant their gas tank sealant for the inside just a word of caution. Yohavos on here documented his lining deteriorating after a few years use. Suspicions lie on the ethanol blends so depending on your location may not be a concern to you. Just a Heads up.

Otherwise carry on and keep us posted of the results. That would almost double your range

There's another thread floating around here where I compared a Trooper, Montero and a Cherokee tank with pics and mock installation. Looking forward to the OPs adventure with this tank.

Edit: found my thread Big Fuel Tank

For some reason, I thought that the Isuzu Trooper tank comes with a killer skid plate. The tank is totally supported by this skid plate which has all the mounting stuff attached to it. Wish I can find a picture of this on my hdd but unable to thus far.

Interested as well. A guy in Sudbury, ON is selling new 90 plus liter tanks out of mining trucks (HZJ79) for CAN$100.

Hmm, that's about 24 Gallons which is a nice size. I wonder if this tank would fit in the 80 series cargo area? PM me that info please.
