I thought the PP was against radios? I like them and would be great to use when on the trail.

Ron this is all you need to know about the Baufeng radios. You don’t have to program them although that may be easier once you figure out the hard part!

This is the kind of tech I expect from you cats and chicks!!!

Winning...

Only J Mack could find something like that! I've seen some crazy things people do to goats, but never hung one on the side of a vehicle. :)
For those occasions when you prefer not to have the goat inside the car...

An older guy bought a goat kid off of us for meat and put it in his Ford Falcon trunk to take home. We sold a couple kids to a whole family who's Grandpa hog tied them and threw them in the pickup bed. The goat kids were screaming and Jeri was crying, what a scene and never sell any goats around Halloween. We had a few of those kind of people call us. We finally decided to only sell goats to the sale barn and not deal with people. Most of our sales off the farm were for breeding stock, but you always had some that didn't make the grade.

Geez @scrapdaddy. I never would have thought of a Halloween connection. How could you filter them out over the phone? Hi, sir we are looking for an altar size goat for our "celebration". Do you have anything in a 44" length?

One of my uncles had goats free ranging on 40 acres of swamp/timber and every 4th of July we would bait them into a cattle catch pen over a few days as there were a families around that wanted BBQ goat. They can certainly make a frightful noise when they are scared.

I'd just tell them we were out of stock around that time. We bred the Does in the Fall in order to have kids @ March 15th. We sold those kids between 3 and 4 months old, at least the kids that didn't make breeder grade, so we really didn't have much for meat in Oct. Our baby bucks would be over 80 pounds by 4 months and were looking to breed! We didn't keep many bucks around.

4th of July was a big deal for goat meat and so was Ramadan.

Two of our yearly bucks.
