Just need everyone to be a little patient

No need for patience as far as the Trails article is concerned. I've messaged Stan Wright, who's excited for a long report, though it'll be for the Sept/Oct issue as July/August has already been put to bed. I will pick primarily from Bonnie's 100 or so 35mm pics and can supplement with a pic or two that's been posted elsewhere if necessary. I think folks who couldn't make it are chomping at the bit to see what we were up to and that participants in the "party" are also anxious to share pics. Doesn't mean we can't still do a drop box where everyone can also download. We'll wait to dump ours into any drop box until Stan makes his selections.

Ditto to what everyone else is saying. Great to put faces and real names to the Knights present and to see what everyone else has done to their Pigs. Lots of cumulative knowledge, some spectacular builds and great camaraderie among old and new friends. Even with the "name" trails still closed, we rambled through spectacular scenery those of us who live in CO sometimes take for granted until we expose it to those from elsewhere and see their reactions. Shirts and both stickers were very cool and both raffles (especially Gordobe's unanticipated dispersal of pig necessities after a three day fight to make it to Rico) were above and beyond. Potluck night was another highlight with enough ribs and brisket (thanks Evan) and other goodies to feed the entire herd. Teamwork to get us through the snow on top of Bolam Pass, done more or less in order of lift height and tire size, was spectacular, especially the trailblazing by Craig.
Thanks to Mark and family for taking the initial scouting trip and to TJ for expanding on that and starting the Pig Party discussion. Haven't seen more Pigs in one place except for the Classic Cruisers boneyard in Salida. We had a great time!

Uploaded most my pics to the Google picture thingy that the invite was sent from.
Not sure how I got some of em while my bench seat had me jumping like Super Mario Bros.

Just to add one more comment to such a great gathering, a very big thank you to all the wives and kids for their support and willingness to attend such a great event. I can only speak for myself, but I would not have ever met any of you great folks if it hadn't been for Trish's unwavering encouragement to my pig project. Nice to know that she's not the only crazy spouse in the group.:pig::pig:

Although this is not my wife's cup of tea ( she's british) she to supports my endeavor.

Working our way across Texas to Texarkana and up from there. We had a front wheel spindle nut come loose, so I tore it apart at a rest stop and tightened it up, no more vibrition. Looking like two more days to get home. We're missing Rico and all your company already.

was definitely a great time. sorry i had to leave early. thanks to @woody for the raffle prizes to top off a kickass event
Anytime :)

Looking forward to your article and images!

Don't know what ever happened with the t-shirts, but if someone has one for me and has been waiting for me to pay up, please let me know.

Finally getting a minute to catch up after being home for a week!

Came home to a dead daily driver and a pile of work to take care of. While I was working away, my old manager who hired me back to this company told me he was resigning. It was a weird week.

Holy cow - that was probably the best Pig Party ever! I can't believe all the work people put in to make this happen.

I know Nick - @Megadoomer gets props for dealing with a move shortly before the Pig Party, plus some insane temperatures, then mechanical difficulties.

@Gordobe definitely paid his dues - rebuilt engine before the party, then a head gasket during the journey out to our little party, then getting to spend a night in Barstow fighting carb issues. That was a lot of time spent for 1 day in the trails! It was great to meet you!

@bobm and @remy1974 win the distance award for making the Pig pilgrimage from New Hampshire - many miles of that without a functioning clutch slave cylinder - well done, and sorry I didn't get to say goodbye when y'all were taking off.

@J Mack put in some serious miles, and saved the day when our Pig Party t-shirt source dried up. Thanks Jim, it was awesome to hang out and get to know your Pig a little bit better.

@scrapdaddy battled issues with his rear end - wait, I mean the rear end in his Pig! That sounded like a lot of work on the rear axle housing, t-case, and steering column to make it out to the Party. I hope you can get the locker issues sorted out.

@mel lowe did some major driving all the way from Flo-rida, dragging his gypsy trailer along behind his not-quite-a-Pig 100. Nice job dragging @Hank Tank up the trail so we could get his 100 running again.

@Voodoocruisers drove all the way from IL with a think a total of 6 people in his Pig! I can't believe that. A family that rides in the Pig together is pretty awesome indeed! Thanks for bringing the drone Andy, I hope you can get the pictures into the Google photo album I created. Let me know if you did not get my invite to the album.

I know others put in a lot of time and work to get there, and then a lot of time driving. Our new friend from Rico probably put in the least time and effort, that was a surprise bonus Pig!

I can't wait to see the official articles that come out of this - @riderjgs is doing the write up for Toyota Trails, and @nuclearlemon is doing a separate writeup for our very own ih8mud and @woody

Just got home. We got past Phoenix and the heat was just too much. Got a hotel in Buckeye and got up at 1 am to beat the heat.

So just out of Delores I decided to Check on that hesitation. Every thing lead to a dropped cylinder except that it idled really well. This is what I pulled out of cylinder 5. That is also the side of the o2 sensor.

Wow, how is she running now?

Made it home in the Phoenix heat by the skin of my teeth. Another ten minutes and I would've over heated for sure. Just wanted to thank everyone for the wonderful Pig Party. It was a pleasure meeting and wheeling with you all. I'm still tickled to have had the opportunity to wheel with a bunch of amazing Pigs when I've never even crossed paths with one on the road. Very special.

Now I need to get to work on a new windshield, rear view mirror (fell off in Flagstaff randomly) and possibly a new bumper. @abqcruiser , do you have a contact for the guy who did your bumper, I really like it.

I'll post some pics shortly.

Till next year!

Hank, it was awesome to meet you! I saw you heading back out of Telluride Sunday morning as I was beginning my journey home.
Pretty sure you had the newest Pig there with your '78. Not sure who had the oldest, maybe Evan @fj55-100 with his 1970?
I hope you can get your Pig squared away. What happened to your windshield?
Mike @ BIO can get you squared away with a sweet bumper, and the powder coaters that he uses do a nice job.
Hopefully you aren't having cooling issues.
