That is a gorgeous pig I am starting my rebuild got a 72 a few months back

Gawddamnit that interior looks nice. Well done!

Thank you both! Good luck on your '72 Walker.

Progress has been slow. I need to post up details about my rear bumper, but progress has been slowed this summer.

I took her to the 2014 Rising Sun Rally!

6 Pigs, plus a body that was for sale - great turn out!

Time to wrap this thread up!

This Pig came with the original rear bumper. I have seen too much carnage when these factory rear bumper ends fold in and damage the quarters. The 3FE donor Pig had a more stout rear bumper that was basically a piece of C channel.

Here is the best image I could find of it on Pig:

I wanted to install a receiver for a hitch on the back so we could pull a little pop-up camper around and do some camping with the family.

Bump It Offroad is a local business, and the owner's daughter goes to school with my son. He makes bumpers and sliders for mostly 80's, 100's and 200's. I asked him about adding a receiver to my current bumper and we quickly moved on to designing a 55 rear bumper w/ receiver.

Here is some of the initial design:

Pablo,

He did a great job on that bumper. Very clean looking. What about your spare tire? Swing out, underneath or inside.

That is a nice bumper. Did he save the pattern and would he make another one? I have the same bumper as your old one, just a piece of c-channel.

Right now I have the spare inside. I think I'll go with that for a while, not sure I want to deal w/ a swing out carrier along with a drop down tailgate. I think if I move some exhaust, I can fit a 33" tire underneath. Can anyone verify?

I'll give him a shout and see. I bet he saved the design. He has a plasma cutter table, so I think he can store design files in there...

I keep coming back to look at the bumper, Nice! I also noticed for the first time, the newer back up lights are way bigger than my 71's and the reflectors are different. I keep learning.

Please check with him. It seems like there are enough of us who are interested in your bumper that it might be worth while for him to produce more. Of course, as long as you don't mind us stealing your original design.
