Wired up

Ridgerunner,

Thanks for the compliment. Hopefully it will be running soon. I think I will give Lance and crew until the end of January to get it running if it isn't done by then, does anyone want to take a stab at wiring a 2UZFE.........

Ryan.

I hope you get that thing wired soon! Looks absolutely wicked.

Ryan, what size are your tires?

Tire Size

They are 37x12.5 17 MTR's I think that if you wanted to run them on a stock 55 you would need wheel spacers. The FZJ80 axles are 8" wider then stock 55 axles.

Cut to the bone that was harsh

Guess I have an engine to get started next week

Wiring

Cam,

Sounds good. I think that next week might be tough, but it isn't unreasonable to expect that it should be drivable in a month. Can't wait to drive it out of the shop in February!

Sweet. Can't wait to see them.

Just got off the phone with Polyperformance. They should have sent out the 12" Coilovers today for the front, but they wouldn't take back the 14" so I might have to find a way to make them work...... Damn.

Ryan.

Too bad Toyota didn't make the 55's with higher rear wheelwells. I'm running into that problem where my ride height will be set by the rear wheelwell/ tire clearance. I may be interested in those 14" coilovers..... Hey, tell Lance to return his calls...........

LC_Hamma,

Let me know if you are seriously interested in the 14" coilovers, and we can deal. I have them in the for sale section, but there hasn't been much interest. I am sure that the 14" coilover will work on the front of the 55, but do to a mistake on my part (Using the colapsed length of the 2" coilover not the 2.5") when building my hoops, meant that my hoops were 3 inches shorter then they should be.

I don't make it down to the shop very often since it is 60mi away, but I know Lance has been swamped with his move and, he isn't open on the weekends. If you need me to get ahold of him for you just let me know.

Ryan.

Things have been moving kind of slowly, but are looking to ramp up very quickly. The driveshafts are here, the new coilovers are here, the new seats are here, the transmission cooler is in, and Ironpig is going to fit me into their production schedule.

Can't wait. Hopefully I will have new photos soon.

Ryan.

Yeah new photos!!!!

Lou,

We are getting really close. Thanks for your help with the fuel pump. I sent you an email, so just let me know if you want me to drop a check in the mail, etc.

The motor cranks and is getting fuel, but we are having a hard time getting spark. We think it is an issue with the supercharger wiring. There is still a couple of parts that I am going to need to source, and hopefully the glass and interior will get down after GSMTR.

Those wheels are sweet, did they get it started?

Lou

Lou,

The wheels are 17x9 Walker Evans racing with the wide beadlock ring. The tires are 39x13.50 Red Label Krawlers.

The paint is my favorite.... Tower paint rattle cans. There was no sanding or clear, I just wanted to get some color down. I am planning on light sanding the entire truck, and spraying 2-3 more coats of paint. The paint is a single stage enamel so it should be easy to repair and shouldn't need a clear coat.

Ryan.

How about some info on those wheels and tires. If you need my help with parts let me know. The front end paint looks great, did you sand between coat's and clear coat?

Lou
