Going to be paying super close attention to the fulcrum lever. The dodge forums are ripe with one being bent or broken when getting the top half back on.

The indexing is most important. Have to verify you can get full throttle without the internal arm bottoming out on the pump case.

Yeah I've written doe, drawn and photographed the shaft index.

Thinking of just taking the fuel screw out during the installation or at least backing the end out so it can't crunch the fulcrum

Although most of the threads I've seen on it being bent or broken even when people used the wire method have had their score turned way up compared to mine. Look at the amount of thread on mine vs the other one.

looking inside the brass bushing on the throttle shaft i'm going to replace it also. It looks like a slight groove has been cut in it from the the shaft over the years. Don't want to have to do this all again when I get it all back together. At this point not sure if i'm going to replace it myself of take it to the local pump shop.
Guess it depends on their quote.

Replace the aneroid fuel pin follower o-ring as well if you're doing it all.

That's a good suggestion and one I have thought about doing.

It makes sense now that I'm waiting on the bushing to come it.

Having a shop track down the bushing now... there are 3-4 different sizes for these pump tops apparently and I can't find my micrometer right now to measure it.

Friggen sweet the shop found all the parts I needed and said they will press the old brass bushing out and new one in for free as long as I bring the bronco back by at some point.

So what did I learn today?? Today I learned I don't owm a 4.5 Allen key..... Nor do any local stores have one.

What did I learn 5 seconds ago???

My 4.5 is in the set I leant my mom yesterday.... SMH

Old bushing out, new one in. No more groove to leak. New Bosch seal kit and new throttle shaft. A little more cleaning and new seals and back together it all goes.

The more I wrestle with the gasket for the top cover the more I understand Happy Gilmore

All bushings, gaskets and orings in the top cover replaced and top cover reinstalled. Not bad for a lunch break wrenching.

I feel your frustration with the small bits in the top cover. That damn fuel pin follower o-ring is so small.

Looking forward to hearing that it runs, but I'm sure not as much as you are!

Boost pin and fuel lines reinstalled. Late last night. Battery on charger..... Most likely won't get to the throttle linkage today, but its almost there.

Andrea already wants to drive it to work when done. I've veto'd that till it gets hydro boost..... Non power brakes and her lead foot is not something I'll unleash on the world yet.

Everything back together except the throttle linkage. Just need to bleed the system now. Should be fairly easy with the electric pump.

Fuel system primed and bled.... started on almost the first crank.... not bad at all.

Next up at some point... the boost gauge (which I have) and pyro (which I don't have) install. Along with valve cover gasket replacement and cleaning up the engine.

Then new fluids in the Tranny (there you go @custyota), t-case and diffs. The mobil delvac one in the engine has all of 2 miles on it so I think its good for now.
