Just some crappy videos we took for the advertisement.

Guy flew out from Sturgis and drove it back through a blizzard.

That one had some issues that I was going to repair but the guy wanted the cheapest price possible. The 90 I currently have is a much, much nicer rig.

Al,

Make sure to let me know when you plan to be down this way. We are pretty far down to the south on the coast. But yeah I would love to get started on it again. I always seem to find to many other projects. Look forward to seeing your bronco getting the use it deserves and I'm sure all you city dwellers up there could use some fresh air. Down here besides some creeps with face masks here and there you wouldn't know anything had changed.

we prefer to be called nature adjacent thank you very much... lol.

yeah I can't compete with your huge spread down there.

Cleaned up the valve covers and I stalled new gaskets and o-rings.

What have I learned in the last few days.

Well #1 I learned that almost no body stocks an air filter for a classic bronco... just about everything was order only.
#2 STP filters aren't made in the US anymore but Chyna.

Decided to replace the filter since the one in there is dirty as hell. Pulled it out, got the part number, went to vato zone... no dice. Figured what the hell lets get a cummins/fleetguard part for it. Went to the cummins dealer down the road. No dice, order only and it will be 3 weeks till they get one. Well no thanks but I talked CFM rates with the tech there and he confirmed it will flow enough air for a stock 4bt, so at least that is good for now. I still want to do the cold air kit from above at some point and if I ever upgrade the axles and turn up the power it will be good to have anyway.

Looked up all equivalent filters and no parts stores had their brand in stock in my city. So whatever I order a replacement STP filter from autozone since the one in the truck is made in the USA. Got the part in today and its now made in China... WTF, ok what ever.

Funniest thing about that is that the old boy that made the rig used the stock bronco air filter to have a cheap easy replacement if needed on the trail or out of town. It's still cheap ($10) but has worse quality now and is not the easiest thing to find in a parts store.

I did a local area search for the filter and out of 20 autozones only 2 had it in stock on the shelf.

Finally moved under its own power today.

Had to turn it around.... The rear support legs to the roll bar will not come out, some super rust holding it in. So I need to use the superduty to put a tiny amount of tension on it while I use some heat.

Read into that "tiny amount" and using every precaution to be safe.

Awesome!! Bet that feels great!

Awesome!! Bet that feels great!

Sure does, can't wait for the Mrs to drive it..... She doesn't even know it is driving yet. I waited to she if she had realized it had turned around in the garage but she didn't lol. Going to wait till I get the second support bar off and the top off before I show her.

That first one required and unbelievable amount of pressure and heat to let go.

Slightly increasing pressure from a 7000lbs super duty loosened it but it still wouldn't come out all the way and when increasing the pressure started to make the suspension squat on the bronco I stopped for fear of it flying when releasing it..

Jamming it back in and yanking on it for 5 minutes over and over again finally did it, but I scrapped the hell out of my arm doing it.

Moral of the story....... A pissed of yeti generates more force than a V10 super duty.... ;)

those pics were much better quality on my phone lol

Yeah that's the issue with working by yourself right lol.
I thought just the neutral weight of the truck hanging on it down my driveway would pop it out, or certainly with it put in first gear to "idle/pull". One thing is for sure i'm going to grease the living hell out of it when I put it back in and water proof the bolt hole.

Not really looking forward to the other side but hopefully it will be easier.

Second one came out much easier... Little tension, heat and then a few dead blow whacks and out it popped.

Top is off

And Andrea finally realized something is different about it, lol.

Bracket adapter for hyrobost is ordered a few weeks till its made and will get here.... damn cheap at $30 so I can wait. Then i'll be at the junk yards finding my unit (insert pun here) when the lock down is lifted.

Hydro boost adapter should be here tomorrow.

Pulled out a hydrobbost unit from a 94 astro yesterday.

Pick n pull junk yards are a trip right now only letting 20 people in at a time.

Those are wide and heavy but tough as nails. That is really though only complain I have about those tires. They are heavy.
but I won’t buy them again in a second. I’m hoping my current km3s outperform them or else I will go back to the toyo mt.

they look in pretty good shape for the price.
