Those are wide and heavy but tough as nails. That is really though only complain I have about those tires. They are heavy.
but I won’t buy them again in a second. I’m hoping my current km3s outperform them or else I will go back to the toyo mt.

they look in pretty good shape for the price.

Thanks Del, yeah they seem to be i'll know for sure when I drive down there tomorrow to grab them.

I thought about getting a brand new pair for Andrea for her birthday yesterday but since we may eventually go one ton axles and then go bigger we decided used was the way to go on this build. Even if its takes a while for the one ton swap the toyos wear so well it will be a while before we have to replace them as this is a good weather only vehicle due to no top, and we aren't really going to go on hugely long drives with them. We have the super doody to tow it to the rough stuff.

Well they were such a good deal I guess someone offered him more than asking. Talked to him last night told him i'd take them and could paypal him the funds to hold them and i'd let him know today if it would be tuesday or thursday that I could grab them. I just reached out to him about going down tomorrow and he said someone just picked them up... got to love it.

It would help if I posted the picture

well that sucks. But it makes sense since they were very reasonably priced. But for all u know maybe they weren’t as good as the pictures. At least that’s what I would tell myself. Haha

Found a guy selling this BCB airbox online that he never mounted and sold the bronco. Sells for $315, managed to get it for about a quarter of that.

I will need to get a new silicone hose as this one is made specifically for old 5.0 swaps into early broncos and doesn't come close to where I need it. Filter included also.. will most likely swap that out for a dry filter also.

So had to pull the air intake for the heater out toake room room for the new engine air intake arriving on Monday.

I couldn't get the fender all the way off due to the massive dent right where the three front lower mounts are.

I was able to still get to the screws holding in the air intake and them had to pry loose the 52 year old sealant.

New CAI got here today.

I need to reroute some wires and figure out how to mate it to the turbo without it looking too janky.
There is room in there for a bigger filter which I will find a dry Amsoil type filter for it.

A D90 snorkel will also fit on the PS fender right where this mounts up so if I want to go that route I'll just make sure its all sealed up nice and connect that for more fresh air with a block off plate for the hood inlet when doing water.

I'm not super excited with how the air intake is working out in terms of looks. It will work for now and I did find a good size filter for it.

@mountainibis is sending me a large Amsoil filter for the build. Its too big for the current box but I figure when ready I can make or have a bigger completely sealed one made for it. Thanks again sir

Got a better bracket for the hydro boost. I wasnt happy with how close it would sit next to the injection pump with the original adapter. It would also make access to the fuel filter very difficult.

So I tracked down a power booster mount from a later bronco. It angles it about 45 degrees out towards the fender. I will have to move the air compressor but that will be easy. Just need to grind the mounting holes and it lines up perfect now.

New air intake is done for now ( still needs to be screwed down in place)

It will work for now, better one coming later in life.

I was about to order the lines for the hydroboost but Andrea's laptop took a dive and she needs it for her masters so that will be held up a bit.

@mountainibis your filter arrived today... A touch too big for the box but I have plans for it down the line. Thanks again :)

Its good to see that filter next to a Cummins again. Look forward to seeing your plans come together.

Old broncos are sweet. I had a ‘69 model with manual brakes, manual steering and a three on the tree. It was a total basket case, but so much fun to drive. It must be a blast to drive one with a 4bt.

Something popped up on my radar for a price I just couldn't say no to.

Well brother in law woke up with his back hurting. (likely story lol) So had to get this thing out of the truck bed solo.

All I can say is workout for the week done and that I wish I had bought and engine hoist instead lol.

The guy I got this off of will have the matching sterling rear also. I will either pick that up or find a 14b with matching gears 3.73. All depends on how easy I can get this axle changed over to 8x6.5 lugs for the hummer wheels. Got to weigh the cost of doing that vs the cost of custom hummer wheels for the 8x117mm or what ever this lug pattern is.

Going to be cleaning this up, taking off the leave spring perches and POR-15 it.

then I have to figure locker choice

When you go to install:

LMAO.... there would be a lot lot lot more cussing if Andrea and I tried to make a video like that together. Maybe even a few tools thrown at me.

What'd you pay for the axle? Ball joint d60s are much cheaper than kingpin ones in my experience.

Looking forward to the build.

pretty much the pick n pull equivalent.

the ball joint axles seem to go for 800-1000 with the king pins around 1100-1500.

Consensus on the bronco site is just buy the cheapest (ford) one you can get. The king pins are stronger than the ball joints but the knuckles are weaker. Price upgrade for each is cheaper on the ball joint side.
