1/1/16 After a great first year as Can Am, Georg and Ward decided to change the firm name to clarify our focus and simplify our message. We are now Cruiser Brothers, LLC - same guys, same business model (wholesale only) and an expanded product line.

CRUISER BROTHERS, LLC :bounce::bounce2:

Part One - Introduction - Georg Esterer & Ward Harris

We figured it was time to pay up and post up - thanks, Woody!

WHAT
Can-Am is an importer and dealer for Terrain Tamer of Australia. We will also stock other lines at the request of our customers and partners. Our mission is to support Toyota enthusiasts with service and upgrade components in a relationship that delivers quality, value and service for all parties. Terrain Tamer service kits and Harrop ELockers are the foundation of our business.

WHO
Can Am’s owners / partners are Georg Esterer and Ward Harris. Everybody knows Georg from his years in the community – nuff said there. Ward is a semi-retired business guy, a Valley Hybrids customer and FOG ("Friend of Georg").

That’s Georg in his 40 below left and Ward can be seen with his better half Lois below right.

WHY
We needed some gear and couldn’t find it at acceptable levels of quality, value and service. Ward wanted new e-lockers for his 73 and Georg needed knuckle kits, TC kits and other resources to supply his shop (Valley Hybrids).

The option for Ward’s e-locker obsession let him to meet some Australian friends and that led us to the Terrain Tamer relationship, which happens to address Georg’s needs. The Terrain Tamer parts that Georg (and other shops) needs to care for customer rigs are from the same manufacturers that build OEM for Mr. Toyota – KOYO, NOK, etc.

HOW
Both Georg and Ward have been in the parts business for a while, now we have combined the wholesale operations of their businesses and brought some new business management and logistical resources to bear. Georg will focus on his shop at Valley Hybrids while Ward operates the Can-Am parts business. Ward and Lois have an 18 acre farm on Whidbey Island, halfway between Seattle, Washington and Victoria, British Columbia. The property includes a 5,000 sq ft steel warehouse which is the HQ of the Can Am business.

We bring in monthly shipments and maintain a growing inventory of popular repair items (knuckle kits, TC kits, etc.) along with a selection of Harrop ELockers. Most of our business is “wholesale” but we won’t turn anyone away unserved.

Our pricing is designed to compete effectively at comparable levels of quality – but with better service than some of the volume outlets.

WHERE
Channels of information for now:

1. MUD Community Forums, Chat, etc. -- PM Username @wardharris

2. Can Am's Facebook Page - Like us at Can Am Cruisers

3. Phone or Text – Ward’s cell is 206-678-2213

4. Email – info@can-amcruisers.com

5. We DO have a website, but don’t expect much – we are focused upon immediate, personal service and lots of communication. We have found Facebook and other channels to be more efficient and effective, but we will do what’s necessary to support our customers, friends and partners. www.can-amcruisers.com

Keep an eye on this thread and PLEASE don’t hesitate to call either Ward or Georg.

Are you telling me there's now another E-locker option for the Cruiser diffs?

Awesome. My timing is way off (I just procured a Toyota E-locker for the current project) but I'm sure it won't be long before I need some from you guys.

Yep, guilty as charged :)

Now the fine print - the Harrop ELockers only fit in full floater axles - no "C" clips.....

Here are the p/n's for most recent rigs. They are also available for early Tacomas, 4Runners and other vehicles. I just didn't have room in this table. We also have install kits to match.

So they'll fit the front axle on the older US fleet for sure?
Affirmative, Aaron. Give me a call this week and I can share some details on the install.

I meh your fine print.

Not a single semi float in my fleet! ;)

Very cool. Interesting design too. The pin that locks the spider gears, that is.

Dan

Cool and here's to lots of success!

Thanks, Gents. Glad to hear your rears are fully floating, Dan!

Reports from the other side are very positive. Three year warranty that doesn't get used.

Some cool videos on Youtube regarding Harrop and these units. My 73 is waiting for a voltage conversion and Vortec, so the two I have set aside are currently just desk art....or paperweights :)

onward and upwards!

Probably ought to revisit the table .... the spline count on the rear FF axle on a 70 is a few more than 20 o_O

Once I get some more cash coming my way, I think it will rapidly head cross-country ...
