I designed a Jerry Can Rack for my bare swing arm that will be locally built and the plan is to use the Front Runner Jerry Can holder which holds two cans on their sides. Was having a issue finding green Nato style cans but found a company in Vermont that had them and they arrived today

Atlantic British?

I got 4 cans fom them last year. Great pricing.
I am interested to see your Jerry can rack design. I have been planning to put my cans on the roof, but if you have something that mounts to a swing arm, or better yet a Slee rear ladder, I'm looking for ideas.

Got them from Barre Army Navy in Barre Vt... $49,00

I talked to Slee but the Ladder/ Jerry Can they have is welded to the swing arm during production. 4x4 Labs has a bolt on ladder with a bolt on Jerry Can rack or you can get just the bolt on Jerry can Rack.... just not a fan of the design so I came up with one I like and hopefully this local company will get it done.....I'm just waiting for a estimate......I'm finding that this kind of work is a dying art and of course I don't want to spend a ton so we'll see what they' come up with.. I'll scan the drawings I did today at the office ......maybe some one here can Cad design my drawings to get the full 3D effect

Looks good Lou, is there room to put the hi-lift jack on a diagonal behind the upright? If you get the 60" and it is straight up it will stick up over the roofline.

Didn't think about the height...I'm sure I can make the diagonal work behind the upright or behind the tire carrier. Someone who will remain nameless forgot to add it to the tire carrier..

Or you know what you could do.

Make the hole spacing on the new attachment line up with the holes in the hi-lift. Run longer bolts through the back side of the swingout arm, through the jerry can holder base, a nut to attach it and then use a large washer against the nut hang the hi-lift on the bolts and use wing nuts to secure it. This way the jack is going the width of the truck, down out of view out the back window, it is tight against the bumper and leaves less to snag on. Just an idea.

I like your first idea because when I open that swing arm I'd basically have a sword sticking out that I know I'd run into... If I'm understanding what you're suggesting?

Looks stout.

Did you find a fabricator?

Was going to suggest ToyOutfitters (Hardline Fab on Mud) since, sort of local. Stan's a good guy to work with.

I did.. a local company about 15 miles away....Most of the work they do is on Jeeps but they have a guy that does custom work and I'll be there most of the day..hoping to get most of it done.

TJM Steath Series Winch

I have finally decided on the 9000LB Stealth Series winch. and got a good price $679.99 to my door.
The only issue in shopping for the winch was most of the ads listed it as having a 7HP motor but listed the model number of the 5.5hp version....The TJM vendor on Mud also describes it having the 7hp but shows the 5.5hp......after someone questions hm he goes on the say the 7hp version is a competition buggy winch. I PM'd TJM with questions about the winch and jobber pricing and he never got back to me which was surprising

The site I bought from also had it listed on his Ebay site having 7.0hp and his regular site listed it as 5.5....with all the miss information I called and the guy runnung the site was also confused which prompted a call to TJM
Once settled I went ahead with the purchase and it should be here in a few days

The man in brown dropped off a few things today. Looking to mount this Toyota license lamp under the jerry can rack
I'm having built and hopefully will get the TJM Stealth Winch mounted tomorrow.

He took my design and we determined all the measurements...to my surprise it was loaded into CAD and was cut on a CNC machine. I should have a few shots of the cuts tomorrow. There was a delay in getting the correct tubing..which should arrive Monday..It will be on the truck before next weekend and with everything in cad it could easily be duplicated.
With all the weight I'm adding I'm considering a little stiffer shock... the rear ride height is perfect but its getting a little soft so I'll start with new shocks and move to 864 rear springs if the shocks don't give me the ride I'm looking for.
