For bumpers, it's probably a personal style opinion as anything else. The only consensus is that there's no consensus. There is somewhat a pecking order to the level of design, quality, and cost. Slee and Dissent being at IMO the top of the...

This is close. Nobody has said the obvious though, and it's directly in line with the Cruiser's biggest weakness.
USB ports. So that my entire family and I can Tik Tok the end of existence together!
I have a set of Diode Dynamics LED bulbs in the reverse light housings plus the DD SSC2 Pro reverse light kit in the bumper. They have a red LED backlight. Works very well.
Very cool context. Enjoy the whip!
The inspiration for my DC based cruiser is overseas cruisers as well… but with a focus on off road bashability :steer:
Got after a rear bumper instal. Picked up a used KayMar from a fellow Mud member that arrived this past Friday. Tore right into, took a quick inventory before sandblasting the parts that had some rust. Did my best to straighten out any bent tabs...
I have the DD SS3 Max SAE fogs in the bumper. What do you recommend for more of a longer distance aux light? I was wondering if the little SS2 pods in a spot or driving pattern would have much punch?
Cbi. Heat molded. It’s a non issue in practice. I would say that I don’t use the ditch lights nearly as much as I’d like to. I definitely need to get out late more, but kids want to be in camp before dark to set up for a fire and star watching.
I did not reach out to MetalTech. It actually hadn’t occurred to me. They are solid sliders, very strong and I have done rattle can touch-ups on my other trucks in the past… figured I would do the same here.
These things are staying on the truck...
tint the windows a bit so people cant see your stuff
some tough sidewalled AT tires
air compressor for tires, and a real jack
low profile low key bumper with hidden winch
ability to carry extra gas + water in some form
do all preventative...
This seems like a silly exercise if you don’t know where you are going. Wait to figure out what country/region you’ll be in, then decide mods or whether a Land Cruiser makes sense at all.
And how does your wife not know where she’ll be going...
Sell the 200. Figure out where you will be landing. Buy a vehicle that fits in the local environment and doesn't stand out. Guessing a 70 series or a Hilux would be where you land if you stay with the Toyota family.
If you insist on the 200...
Which ditch light bracket did you go with? Pros/cons? Did it fit properly? It looks like the CBI brackets are either too thick or not bent properly, as many have cut or heat molded the plastic trim below the wipers.
From my experience and others here lt275/70r18 with the factory wheels on a lifted 200 will look less than desired. Get that offset to 45mm or lower and you’ll be much better off. Scrub radius and aesthetically you’ll be happier. 45mm is a good...
