no heater blower ?

Unfortunately not. The engine and tranny had been moved pretty far forward previously. Now I don't even think a heater would fit under the dash without the gear shifter hitting it.

I'll still get some type of aftermarket heater for the rear. Just won't have any defrost options.

I'm in the same situation with regard to the heater. I have an aftermarket heater which was mounted below the glove box, all it would have done was blow hot air on the passengers knees.

Quick search...this is the heater I have.
Mojave Aftermarket Heater

I saw a thread somewhere on here, were the guy mounted the heater in the center, in front of the shifter, BUT the heater was pointing down. The squirrel case fans were up in the dash, was neat and tidy. Looked like it would work very well. There is also a bezel for that heater, which snaps on the front, and has directional vents, and a defrost outlet if I am not mistaken.

You might be thinking of the vintage air heater (506101). There's a thread on here where a guy named Mark installed it. Turned out very nice. I just ordered the same one from Summit. Comes with controls and all. I'll post pics once we get it installed.

Got this rocker switch panel and a couple relays delivered for $115. Custom ordered Wednesday at noon and delivered at noon today. Not too bad. Bought it from wiringproducts.com

Happy to say all the lights are wired and are working properly! Except the dimmer switch because fjparts sent me the wrong one.

you may have to get a used dimmer switch from Specter Offroad or Mark's Offroad or through the classified's from some MUD member - all aftermarket dimmer switches I have seen (MAF and some other vendor I don't recall) did not fit my '72

Yeah I'll have to look somewhere else. I just wish I would have known they were going to be sending a completely different after market one.

21 months later and she's alive! She started up right away the very first time. Pretty amazing feeling and very gratifying. It was a lot of time and money but well worth it. Hopefully we'll take it out for a spin tomorrow!

A couple more pics...why not?

Got the windshield in, the hood on, and washed off the thick layer of dirt and dust it had on it.
