That is a great back story….😎 Someone wasn’t happy with the way the romance turned out and got a little creative.

Just so everyone knows how “Dick” got his name. My wife and I were joking about this door had to stay as it is, so maybe I would make a swinging bar door with it or something rather than refinishing it. Later that evening our twin granddaughters came in and asked about our new Kruiser. My wife quickly responded with “Dick the Kruiser” due to the door.

Little update on Dick.

I’ve not done any of the baseline work, yet. I did have a few minutes yesterday, Father’s Day, to roll it out to the edge of the barn and raise the hood. With the hood all the way up I was able to see the back of the carb and noticed a rather large crack on the vacuum line to the PCV valve! Geez! How did I miss that!

I had a few feet of line and replaced it and the brake booster line. Big surprise, that really helped!

I know this is a long shot, but I’m in search of an original air cleaner along with the hoses and horn. If anyone has any leads or one lying around.

Thanks for all your help, Mud! Have a wonderful day!

Also, I just read all of @Aloha Jen thread rebuilding her 75’ 40! Wow, hopefully Dick can be that awesome someday!
