Door windo felts
Replaced all door window felts. You could say the first door was somewhat of a learning lesson because the second door went much smoother. I elected to disconnect the window and drop it in-place which made replacing all the felts much easier.

My sequence after the door card was removed:

Removal-
1. Roll the window half way down, disconnect, and allow it to slide to the bottom of the door (Suggest putting small towel at the bottom of the door to rest the window on)
2. Remove the upper perimeter door felt
3. Remove the inboard and outboard felts
4. Remove the old forward lower felt
5. Remove the entire channel for the lower aft felt and remove the felt (looking at the door from the inside). There's only one 10mm bolt holding the channel in place. (Bolt is outside the window cavity jut below the door mechanism)

Installation:
1. Install the forward lower felt. Some form of lubricant is your friend
2. Install the inboard and outboard felts
3. Install the upper perimeter door felt
4. Install the lower aft felt into the channel you removed and re-install the channel
5. Install the window

My old felts were roached -

ome, suspension, 2.5' lift
Decided to tackle an upgrade to the suspension on Red. Went with an OME heavy 2.5 lift with Bilstein shocks at the corners. The first corner was definitely my learning lesson, after that things went relatively smooth. All said, with a helper the job took a little over 7 hours. What I need help with is understanding the difference in shackles between the OMEGS8 and OMEGS9. Aside from orientation for left and right the 2 different shackles (8 VS 9) were identical in dimensions.

Shout out to the team at Cruiser Outfitters @cruiseroutfit - From sale to shipping and answering all my questions, thanks!

How do my shackle angles look? I'm pleased.

The lean to the left got a little better with the upgrade. We'll see after everything settles.

GS8 is front, GS9 is rear and is sightly more robust.

Exact same setup on 1.0/2.0. HT, coolers and camping kit were my criteria for the HVY OME/Billy combo. IMHO, once you get them flexed in you’ll really like them. 👍🏻

My criteria for going with the heavier springs was the thought I could take a leaf out if I wasn’t happy with the ride. Plus, toting the second tank of fuel and hauling 400# of pellets during the winter. Initial impression of ride quality is 👍🏻.

Is it the thickness of the material? Pin to pin was the exact same.

Thickness and pin to pin are both different. Can you confirm yours are both the same?

GS8 (front) - 6mm thick plates. 70mm pin-to-pin
GS9 (rear) - 8mm thick plates. 90mm pin-to-pin

I plan to take measurements tonight. I’ll follow up with results.

Wrapped up the suspension install and started the installation of a Dakota Digital RTX gauge set. No surprises with the install, everything went smooth. I put the controllers in the glove box so they are out of sight and secure. I still have to dress out the wiring but overall it’s a clean look that shouldn’t interfere with normal use of the glove box.

The new display with all its features are a welcome addition to the truck.
