Hell yea, great work!

I agree about the t-belt - no easier time than now, and then you know for a fact you have peace of mind about it for the next 90k.

@lelandEOD, can you help me understand motor mount bracket placement? This should be the correct 1hz/1hdt bracket. It moves the RH mount forward towards the front ofnthe engine.

are the left hand/right hand motor mounts supposed to be offset?

This might come back and bite me in the ass, but the rear main is dry as a bone, im going to run it as is.

Mainly because the essence of time.

Im sore, but as long as the transmission makes it here this week, she'll hopefully be sitting in the 80.

Same - rear main was dry for me and looked mint, so I left it. Hopefully it stays gucci for a long while, otherwise I’ll regret not doing it.

Im not putting in an auto, im waiting for my h152f. Its not the money or effort im against, its time. This is my daily im swapping.

This isn't going to be a perfect engine swap, im sure itll be full of lessons learned, and sweat equity.

I just simply dont have the time to wait two weeks for a part that hasn't failed yet.

So you are waiting for a trans but can’t wait for a seal?

It’s been a standard to change a rear main when an engine (or trans) is out for decades.

Some lessons do get learned the hard way, hence me telling you to put the seal in now.

Your build your choice. 👍

If i can find one local ill change it, if not.

What will be, will be, as they say.

Thanks for the tips.

Having interacted with maintenance departments that are part of major corporations worth uncounted billions, this is apparently a REALLY difficult lesson to learn. 😆

Also, being fully aware of that fact doesn't make me immune to forgetting the lesson occasionally.
