You know there really isn't any particular reason, I was just told that garden of the gods was pretty nice. But I am open to any suggestions. I will be leaving from Moab, UT, but i do want to fit in the Grand Canyon.

Turn right in Blanding and drop down Hwy 261 to the Moki Dugway and enter the VOG from the back side.

Heading to the North Rim go through Vermilion Cliffs/ Marble Canyon (strongly suggested) and there is dirt to avoid going through Jacobs Lake that will bring you out just before the toll booth at the North rim. Let me know if I can help.

The South Rim is for people that have never been to the North Rim.;)

I'll send you a few ideas by PM

Garden of the Gods is not worth the detour. I was there this summer. Great place to take the family on some short hikes. Scenery is nice but if your coming from Moab you will see much better on a grander scale.

Sometimes I question if it is even worth it.

I have such a long list of things to do:

Install Slee's front shocks
Install rear bump stops
Adjust rear parking brake
Install front sway bar drop
Install Slee 3 degree bushings
Install the Cobra CB, and Firestick 2
Install Rigid LED's on the rear "hatch" brackets
Install new switches
Install Bluesea fuse box
Rebuild Front Axle
Install new front rotors and pads
Change u-joints in driveshafts
Install new master cylinder
New Intercooler core double the size of the Frozenboost
Install all the water/meth injection stuff

But when you turn your turn signal on to exit the highway and the douchbag in the camaro behind you who also has his turn signal on to exit all of a sudden decides he is going to try and be a dick and swing past you and cut you off on the exit, yet he doesn't know your big ugly truck has a turbo, and the look on his face with his backwards hat is effing priceless when you put it to the floor and pull away from him. I LOVE my truck!! haha. It is definitely worth it!

Woody needs to add a "double like"

When my gopro shows up, I will film a 0-70mph run up against one of my employee's 2014 LX570. Should be a cool example of how it compares to the V8.

I have no idea what the outcome will be, I am on stock gears, 35's, bumpers, winch, rockers, 2 jerry cans, loaded tailgate storage, and I am about 100lbs heavier than he is, he has 2 child seats lol

Video prominently posted on Youtube or it didn't happen. :flipoff2:

Yeah..... don't get me started. He and his wife are medically disabled from the military and collect about $6k a month tax free. Total BS. And being disabled they have veteran's preference for hiring. It is a broke system. I understand you want to take care of those that have earned it, but it seems too easy to scam the system. I am surrounded by military and I hear them talk all day about how they can't wait to get out and get disability. It certainly isn't the same military I was in.

Your employee is rocking that? I'm currently unemployed so I think I need to come work for you! :bang:

Holy crap. I've been out of work since May and I've yet to collect a penny of unemployment because of my severance and massive amount of PTO.

Wanted a place to track, pre and post water/meth injection.

If anyone is curious you can see on the pre, that I started out around 1500rpm and floored it. Truck pulls to around 4800rpm, boost fluctuating a little as the computer tries to keep it at my programmed limits. Boost peaks at 16.6psi. IAT's hit 170 degrees F. Like I said in another discussion, 170 is my breaking point. I am installing the larger IC as well as the water/meth. I would like to see 130 but we will see. This is not the end of the world and very rarely do I go foot to the floor anymore, but I do want to build the truck for all driving conditions.

Haha looks like the fluctuating boost wasn't the computer trying to adjust boost, it was me being too chicken s*** to hold my foot to the floor. lol. The light blue is the throttle position sensor. Shows I clearly let off while the truck was building more boost. Funny considering I have driven a lot of fast cars. Haha.

Well after reading all 49 pages of epic build I have to say you have one awesome truck ..you certainly don't cut any corners Ryan.
That 1FZ-T must be fantastic with the sort of power it's putting out.
Look forward to more updates on the ongoing evolution :clap:

Now how can I screw that hp & ft/lb out of my 1HZ ?:D

Thanks, I know I drift off topic a lot and the thread could probably be shorter but it is kind of a build journal for me, as much as it is for other people. It helps me keep things straight, one place to do my before and afters, etc. glad some people actually do read it and not just roll their eyes when I am posting things that probably only I care about. Lol

Just a heads up when you are taking your fuel pump assembly in and out to change fuel pumps or fuel pump socks, be careful with how you set it down, etc. I think my fuel gauge float was bent a little. I was kind of freaking out that I was seeing 170 miles when the low fuel light would come on. That would mean I was getting like 9.5mpg. But I have filled up multiple time, at multiple gas stations and I can only get 17 gals in so I think the light is coming on earlier, and it appears the needle doesn't go above full like it used to. So I should be around 11-12mpg around town like normal. I will have to pull the seats and check it when I get it back from JMS. They were not excited about trying to stuff my big new intercooler into the old spot but I think it will work.... guess we will see. ha.

One of these things is not like the other, one of these things does not belong lol.

So since my awesome fabricator moved to Dallas to work on twin turbo vipers, JMS the guy Jorge that tuned my truck says he has a great fabricator. They will be redoing the intercooler you have all heard me bitch about.

They will also be welding in the AN -6 bung on my A/W tank for the water/Meth spray. It will be mostly water just enough meth to keep it from freezing. Like I said before I am not and don't advocate the use of meth injection as a performance enhancer or octane booster. It is way too easy for an injector to get clogged or a pump to stop working or something and grenade the motor.

I am simply using the water injection as a way to cool the intake air charge. It won't be used often as I will set the trigger parameters for worst case:
- probably, over 150ish degrees IAT
- over 2psi of boost
- 2000 or maybe 2500rpms.

That way it won't spray idling with hot under hood temps, it won't spray unless you are in boost and the rpms just make sure the vapor is a small percentage of total intake volume.

I have 2 injection nozzles to play with, I am going to start with a 120ml/min@220psi and see how it goes, it is the second smallest they make. I will step up to 160ml/min@220psi, if the 120ml doesn't cool below 140f for a long pull.
