Very slow lol!Rollin along man!!!
This was my first in counter with the fj40 and it took 8 years to get it but i own it now.I would of never thought that I would buy an fj40, I always had plans of maybe some day getting myself a little 80's pickup. After golf one day I came upon a 1976 land cruiser parked in a field with a for sale sign in the window, I thought it was the coolest thing I ever did see. I hopped out of my 4Runner to check it out and take pictures, my wife could tell how awesome I thought it was. Couple days later I gave him a call and asked how much he is asking, the price scared me away a bit but I still knew I had to have it, i felt like this was my only chance to ever own one of these. A week later I talked to the owner again and he said he must of had close to 40 phone calls, that's when I withdrawn the money from my account and asked to take a second look. The fact that it actually ran and drove was just a bonus to me. The Now previous owner was so upset to sign the papers over, but he had too due to a farm full of vehicles and his wife over his shoulder. Long storey long, I absolutely love this thing and love tinkering with it and poking at the rust and envisioning what some day it can become!

Thanks! Yea so damn close now!Great job!!!!keep rolling finish line is very satisfying!!!
I can’t wait! Take some photos with you!Nice to see man! Was wondering when some paint was gonna go down! Be good to see another 40 locally around town!
Oh yes! Anti seize! Thanks for reminding me. And it will be painted so shouldn’t need oil? I could see maybe on the under side since I’m not painting it at this point. I have the 2F rebuilt already. And yes I’ll look into dipped galvanized, I was originally thinking just POR on the frame.i just found your thread ! Great work ! If you don't mind some advice to take or leave it ?
The body should last a long time with the work u put in but oil spraying it will definately add years.
Get a can of anti-seize for any bolted connections, you will thank yourself everytime you remove a bolt !
Your roll bar supports are way over kill and may buckle the floor at some point. a 1/8 bent plate with a 45deg. stiffiner should suffice.
If the 2f doesn't happen then a 3b swap is easy enough !
If your frame turns out solid enough then perhaps ''hot dip galvanize'' it !
Nice work !
