First, Welcome to the forum. Good luck and enjoy tinkering. Most important for your jobs:
  1. Make sure she runs well (Plugs, oil, air, fuel filter and wires)
  2. Stops. New shoes and pads all around. Flush the system with new fluids!
  3. From experience, if it runs rough, there is a combination of things that contribute to a smooth engine: Spark (distributor, couple of hundred bucks) clean fuel filter $2, air filter ($20).
  4. The rust is a different story.
Good luck, look up some of my threads, this is a great forum with very knowledgeable people hear.

Enjoy.

So I’ve been chipping away at the interior and I came across this wire I have no idea where it goes to! It’s red with a black stripe, looks to be connected into the fuse block.... maybe. And it was just sitting under the steering wheel. Thanks for any help!

You’re more patient than me. I threw a bucket in mine and drove it around. Felt great.
