What I really like is that the PO decided fancy wheels were more important than fixing anything else!!! Gotta love PO’s! Hope you don’t have children in the garage, I guarantee you WILL be swearing at some time or other when you get to witness some PO “craft”. Ha ha. I sure know I did but no kids here
oh and those wheels could be yours if you'd like

Heard from CCOT the are sending a parital shipment of panels. The wheel well parts need to be produced. Waiting to cut until I get the metal. I could put the seats in and drive it a bit more if its gonna be a long lead time.
need to find an air cleaner and rear door hinges. Some shady looking wires going to the fuel gauge unit.
What is the rectangle hole under the dash on the passenger side?

The rectangular hole is for cabin air for the heater fan. There’s supposed to be a screen over it. Metal on the pre-74 Cruisers, plastic on the newer.

I have ambulance door hinges if you need some.

So I know for a fact that im am going to need measurements to get my new panels welded up square. Mainly the height from the top of the rail that the hard top mounts to the rear bed pan height. as you can see my entire back end has sunk due to body mount breaking thru floor of the bed. Gonna be very little done cause Im going to IMTS in chicago. til Thursday.

Your PP for the upper hinges never came through. Interestingly, I found the box of lower hinges yesterday.

fitting up of the puzzle begins. going to start bracing the tub up tomorrow after work. We have lots of extra tubing at work that has been rusting on on the rack. Ive got a strange idea (well one ive not yet seen) on how to hold the upper rails of the tub.

is there a ralph’s near by?

About 4 blocks from our house as a matter of fact. But my wife uses canvas bags for shopping. We get paper bags like that with incoming parts and just reuse them for packing.

Gotta start the kids young on working with their hands, before school gets to them.

Moving forward. out with the POs hack attempt at the rear sil and soon to be home new pieces. the rear was only attached by the outer body mounts which of course were rotted completely off. Which made the back of the tub bounce up and slam down on every bump. Frame needs to be cleaned up a bit and then the new sil can be put in place. That’s is where my progress will for this week. Because grandma says everyone is going on this trip and ya can’t tell her no she paying for it. so it’s few nights in a questionable cabin in tennessee. Hoping the place have been cleaned in the last year or so. i’ve had a few bad experiences with vacation rentals and hotels. So i had to spend some time on what my daughter calls the hippo(05 4runner). just fluid check tire rotation and pressure check.
