Drivers side down, passenger to go. So far these haven’t been that bad to fit aside from me installing the back cushion onto the base seat.

Most challenging part is fishing the ‘string through the base cover...was an exercise in luck.

Passenger side done. Pretty happy with how thy turned out. The quality of the SOR covers is very good!

Ugh...just mounted up my rear cityracer 16” steelies to discover they are hitting my rear calipers More so on the passenger then drivers side.

For some reason I thought they would work fine . Looks like I’ll be either grinding the calipers or looking for some spacers.

Pretty much conceding defeat for having this ready for Thursday.

I have to use spacers to run my lx450 rims on my mini. I am currently not using them. U could borrow them to get it to the relic run.

I’m assuming the rim needs just a little clearance like in my case. The spacers are maybe 1/4 inch or less. Just brought to clearance the caliper.

I tossed in the towel trying to get this to relic run a couple days ago...just too much left and I’m slow at best!

Seats mounted! Also got the refreshed fuel tank installed with new hose and felts.

Funny thing on the fuel hose...went to O'reilly for some. Only needed 3-4 inches but they have a 1' minimum...no big deal. Well...the guy was like - I don't have a way to cut this so I will sell you the entire thing for 1' cost. So only needed 3" but came home with 4'....I've got filler hose for the rest of my life!

Not painting this has been the hardest part! It goes against all my ocd qualities!

Just read through entire post, pages 1 to 16. WOW!!! Incredible work, man! I picked up a 1967 from a fellow Rising Sun member a little while ago and am slowly gathering parts. But I certainly don't have the mad skills you have!

I was able to rebuild the front axle and save my ball and claw axles...thanks to new custom milled brass bushings. Not sure if this is a good thing or not....considering how crappy the old master and drum brakes stop!!!

Congrats on an incredible project! I hope to start a documenting thread at some point.

Took a small break on this. Was bummed. Wasn’t able to get it finished for Relic Run...oh well! Spent a couple hours tonight and got some small things marked off the list.

Filled the oil bath filter up (to its full line) with oil...felt so weird to put oil in an air filter! Added lid gasket, clamps and new cotter pins. Also added carb top gasket and clamp. Final install of the oil filter and lines. Installed heater with new city racer elbows and dayco ( Dayco Autoflex Defroster Duct Hoses 80167 ) duct hose. Also got the interior 5/8 rubber lines installed! Plus installed a new overflow bottle. This same style had been added by a PO at some point and a new one was available online still...12 bucs. Way easier then trying to whiten the old plastic one.

I’ll probably regret mounting them if I need to access anything around the engine but was so over having them take up garage floor space.

Worked on freshening up a pair of Aisin hubs last night. Paint should be dry enough this evening to reassemble.

Hubs reassembled. Also have been working on heater / vacuum hoses in hopes of firing the engine soon.
