I need to drop off the ones on my mini truck for you to give them the sema touch

Getting back on this after a break. Starting to look more and more like a 40 series!

I like that bezel color. Cool to see something other then standard white.

Any updates?

Unfortunately no.

My time has been dedicated to non cruiser chores. Dealt with main sewer line issues for a few weeks (which required tearing down a utility shed) and just now learned our AC condenser is shot (equals no cooling). and it’s one of the hottest days tis year. On top of that I’m about to hop in a plane to London for work, gone until next weekend.

How about now, any updates?

Lots of updates...just none for this old gal! Built a new shed (was fun actually), reno’d a spare room/office into a nursery and have been busy with a vacation property. I’ve also been sidetracked with a new to me lx470 and deferred maintenance on my Duramax.

I will have 6 weeks off work starting late December to work on Lemonade, with the goal of having her ready for the spring Relic Run.

The itch is coming back!!

Hey Jon! Is Lemonade going to make the Relic Run this year?

That’s a big ‘maybe’. I am going to work on getting the loose ends wrapped up soon so I plan for it to be running and driving but it likely won’t be titled by then. I’ll have to go the bonded title route due to some self inflicted poor choices when I purchased it.

As long as it’s able to be driven on and off the trailer I’ll bring it even if it’s for show and tell!

Great thread and very nice tube bending. I'm a stickler for well bent plumbing myself.

I may have missed it, but where did you find the clear lense parking and turn signals for the front?

Thanks for the kudos! I like to take my time bending brake lines.

I got the clear front lenses from heritage toyota in Australia...I think. It was from their eBay store and not cheap.

I found the link, thank you! I ordered a used 4spd/chevy conversion bellhousing from another mudder, and it's too heavy for my wife to move. I've been ordered not to order any more parts until I get home.

Wow…it’s really been two years since I have done anything of note to this truck. A new baby (at 41 years old), a pandemic (that seems to never end) and my irrational decision to buy a boat to redo has taken my attention away from this (among other things). I had pressed super hard in the late winter / early spring of 2019 to get this ready for a local event (Relic Run) and when a number of snags made making the event not an option I got demotivated and just left it to marinate.

I‘ve been working this summer to refresh a 1992 Mako 221b center console and with the heat here in NC, I needed a break to work on something else. Shop is air conditioned so this was my best option!

I decided to work on the hood today. Installed hinges (with fancy bronze bushings), windshield bumpers, windshield mounts, hood spear and hood hold downs...some new oem and some O.G. Also rubbed on a coat of Owatrol oil for some luster…if that is a thing with ages old multiple coats of paint, ha!

Also drilled out a broken bolt on the body side of the hinge mount…was way easier than I had planned.

On my mental list from memory is;
- finish mounting hood
- finish misc wiring…mainly grounds and turn signal / hazard circuit
- install Aisin lockouts up front (have to replace inners to fit birf outers)
- mount spare tire carrier (requires work on mounting studs for tire)
- figure something out to get rear Monte Carlo brakes to clear these 16” steelie wheels (probably grind some off the caliper as the just slightly drag) on portions of the wheel inners)
- install OP retrofitted OEM roll bar and bikini top and find some older style half doors canvas style (or use the set off my other truck)
- install transfer case parking brake to match rear driveshaft pattern (one I have now doesn't match)
- install plugs and wires
- figure out exhaust and install oem skid plate (the NOS oem exhaust I have runs below the frame)
- finish cleaning off all the dang spider webs…luckily there aren’t many!
edit
- do at home alignment
- get titled (requires bonded title bull**** work)

Then it’s just fluids, prime system, check everything 10x before starting!
