I think someone was asking for rotor clearance pictures. Couldn’t get close to the 250 but here was the best I could get from the GX. Pretty tight for a 17” rim. For the hassle of trying to find that right rim, I think your better off sticking with an 18” on 35’s. I ran this on my 80 for years and they got scuffed up but did just fine. That is IF you can fit 35's under either. It looked like it would clear of but no idea how 35's would stuff. It would be interesting to know if the cruiser outfitter guys have tried. Didn't get a chance to talk to them.

460 vs 550
Man, I'm trying really hard to like the GX of even the LC but so far, just not a fan and up close and personal didn't help much here. No interest here at all on the 250 and don't ever see getting one, about every angle just kept looking like a stretched, failed FJ the more I did laps around it trying to find something that stood out. Nothing... Note to Toyota, please give up on the FJ retro thing unless you can bring back a true solid axle FJ style jeep. It just isn't working.
Me and the wifey went back by the Lexus booth 3 times and I couldn't get her, or myself for that matter, to get excited about the 550. I have said it before and I believe it more than ever, I think Toyota intended the 250/ GX to be the 4R replacement and made a last minute decision to insert the LC in the mix. It feels small(not in a good way, as in low to the ground and, carish), cheap, the 550 interior dash and console was very plain and meh and felt really flat and bronco/ Wranger feeling. It might have felt and looked much better if you could turn the ignition on but overall it was plain and boring, although the fit and finish was nicer. I could see the front and underside cameras being nice when offroad as the middle dash screen was quite large.
I have never been a big fan of the 460 and it might have been slightly unfair that the 460 @ the expo looked to have a small lift but I think it won out on the 550, even though I think the downsize on the LC is a win, the cheapness and initial feel, is not. The 460 just looked and felt better inside and out(compared to a LC as I know them). It is also probably quite unfair there are so many decked out vehicles at the expo and it made the OEM vehicles quite meh. The upside is there is still time to grab a white on white 460 at a decent price... Maybe it's time to go test drive one. I would like to see a luxury+ 550 though, even if it does have 22's lol.
Neither the 550 or the 250 looked or felt like something I would take far off the beaten path on a Colorado FR and feel comfortable about the thought of getting back out in one piece, but in all fairness I do own the best, and last true LC ever made on 37's so it is bit unfair to compare either. Sorry, even though I didn't get to drive one, it just didn't even feel like a LC. I can't imagine why anyone would want a plain 1958 model, It just doesn't make sense to me. There is still time to come through on a fully loaded decked out GX/ 250 Toyota, just don't think your quite there yet.
