@PNWTreeOctopus The ribs are attached with tape. You take the end caps off, slide the plastic rib off the rail, then remove the rail and you’re left with a super sticky rubbery tape compound. I remove that with my thumb.

Edit** I forgot about the end cap screws.

Really? No hardware? How did I miss this! Thanks Pell!

Not my picture, but it shows where the adhesive is. There are screws at the front and the back (one screw for each cover) of each rail. They look to be M5x.8 like the roof rack screws, I will confirm when my hardware shows up today.

When poking around yesterday I found at least 1 of the screws to be spinning... so, I may end up having a fun time this weekend fighting with that... or I will just googe it with siliconcarne and see what happens. hasn't leaked thus far.

Thanks for the visual, that’s helpful . You guys make it easy for me to work smarter…not harder.

Crap, I forgot about those. My bad guys. Let me edit my other post so I don't harm anyone else in the making of your thread.

No harm no foul ;)

Just picked up the washer overhaul parts. Installing the three way nozzles (adjustable!), a new diverter valve, and a new pump:

Prinsu rack arrived this afternoon, got it built in the garage, just need to find a friend to help me get it on the roof tomorrow:

I added some rubber panel siding to the bottom of the sides where it mates with the drip rail. This is “type B” 1/4” wide, from McMaster. A 25ft roll will leave you a bit extra. The cross section tapers so it pinches, keeps it from falling off.

I’ll mount these two Diode Dynamics SSC1 Pro’s somewhere. These are the “wide” beams and the lense is indexable, so I can keep the patter correct while they are mounted sideways:

Ima just rattle can the $hit out of mine like a hillbilly.
Don’t worry, powder coats chip and rust and eventulook hillbilly, or if you’re more rover life—they get a patina. :flipoff2:

Rack installed today:

I have some different hardware coming from McMaster on Monday to correct some of the issues. I don't love how the bolt heads on the bottom, it touches the top of the seal when the doors open. Will also be putting on the angled shims so everything lines up correctly.

Looking good! Enjoying how you don’t settle for less than perfect.

Sometimes it's good, most of the time it's just expensive and a lot of effort. Helps that I am aggressively single

Here are a couple more roof rack pictures:

Putting together an upholstery extractor so I can shampoo the carpet (amongst a bunch of other household stuff). This thing is pretty sweet:

It'll hook up to a hose and a rigid wet vac.

Where did you get the upholstery tool from. That’s cool.
Sometimes they are on Amazon, found this one on Ebay. $130
