I just want to say two things:

1) Looks like a nice slick drawer setup
2) It's awesome that there are two flamingos in your survival gear kit

1) Thank you
2) Thank you - their names are Flip and Flop and I'm glad someone else appreciates them;)

A render of the wing concept I'm trying to implement - you can see why the bracket becomes so important...

The satisfying part of all this is that my early decision to go with the track system is paying off yet again - no need for vertical reinforcement or drilling/creating mount points.

Simple leads to sweet;)

Bracket still not settled hence not showing the holes/screws into the wings - but expecting to need only 2/bracket of the 1/4" hardware the rest of the drawer system is built of.

Bad....Ass. Can't wait to see if this portion comes to fruition as you're envisioning.

LOL, I wasn't gonna go that far @mervo but happy you're diggin it;)

As for coming to fruition, only rotten fruit so far... which means there's gotta be something sweet still waiting out there

You have the 80's drawers all figured out? Remember my name because I want to be the 1st on the group buy!

I'm in when you get to an 80 series. Also in to beta. Anything in the works?

To Jeff & all you 80-series folks asking about whether there will be a model for your rigs:

Thanks to Zach for leaving me his rig for a week to make measurements, I have confirmed the 100 series skeleton and drawers drop right in. I just need to detail the wing & drawer front profiles, tweak an anchor bracket, get the current order of 20 out the door, and THEN I will be putting together another run of 10, either 100 or 80 series;)

62/60 guys, it's a bit more work to adjust the design but it is possible - time is the biggest factor there.

@LandCruiserPhil - no provision built in for securing cargo - part of the customization each user will do depending on their needs. Personally I am on the hunt for recessed D-rings with springs but have been unable to find small ones - only truck bed style which are way overkill IMHO. I will post what I am using (an elastic cargo net and some d-rings) in the customization thread once I get to that, and hope others do as well.

As for securing, it is via (4) 1/4-20 U-bolts into the 3rd row seat brackets, into 15mm (5/8") plywood. Very strong, very easy to install/uninstall. I have my 2 kids in the back with ~80 lbs of gear in my recovery drawer at all times and have zero qualms about it.

Finally, update on the new wing approach:

I'm very happy with how they turned out - can take my weight on top, very rigid, dead simple for folks to convert into hinged flaps if they want, and utilizing existing vendors/processes so my supply chain is not hit. They cost a bit more than the prior design, but the benefits in assembly, install/removal, hinged sides, and adapting to the 80 series make them worthwhile.

80 production is waiting on my 'test run' from the CNCer, *hopefully* today. Then throw it in the 80 in my driveway and about an hour of crawling around measuring and cutting and testing. Then me throwing up an order thread/page. Sooooo, close ;)

When do you plan to start taking orders for the next batch of 10? Will the next run include the new wing design that can be modified by customer to flip up?

Thanks. Great design. I need a set!

Next batch going on sale probably end of the week (need to get the first 20 out the door) and it will be good for 80 or 100 series... announcement will be in this tread so watch here.

yes it will have the wing design you see - easily modified to flip up or lift up by the user, however they see fit. This is the standard design from now on for both 80 & 100's.

For you folks that missed the first run and have been patiently waiting, I've set up an ordering form for you to secure your place in line here: https://goo.gl/forms/oMxbyVENWjV5Osmq2

Price will be $575 (cost went up because of increases incorporating the wings & 80 series). Shipping same ($100 west of Mississippi, $120 east, free to pick up in Bend). Ship date will be 2-4 weeks after the run closes and folks pay - could be a week could be a month, and we have holidays getting in the way of things...

I will be putting up a website consolidating FAQs and pictures soon, but in the meantime this will be the main thread.

Thanks for everyone's patience and support as I've gotten the logistics figured out!
Dave

I'm in too. I need some hidden storage and should make a good sleeping platform. Can't wait to see some pics from the first group.

I really like the simplicity of these... I want some.:)

I see pics in the 100 series with the seats folded, but do you have any pics or input from the betas in an 80? I'm curious how the height of the platform matches up with the 80 2nd row seats folded forward? my 80 seats don't lay flat unless you space the back/latch up about 2.5", which puts the height closer to 13". I'm not concernned if it isn't 100% flat, but want to make sure it's flat enough to sleep on.

Also, the 80 series floor has a mild slope towards the front that starts roughly in the middle of the cargo area, making a high spot - does that create an issue for mounting?

Do you have more pics of the frame mounted in an 80? The u-bolt attachment specifically?
