@tucker74 Very nice—what winch is that?!? Didn’t think an integrated solenoid winch would work on a hundy. Do you think a warn xd9000i would fit?

That is indeed a xd9000i and as you can see does fit. I had to trim the lower valence brace a little and use some button head bolts on the oil cooler bracket. She’s tight but has room in there -

Sweet--I may have to pull the XD9000i from my '95 Disco I have for sale . . .

Does the mount seem sturdy? In the pics it looks a bit sculptural rather than structural, but it's hard to tell from a photo, obviously.

Follow up question—how is accessing the plug and clutch lever on the winch?

Finally did my install, easy and perfect fit, thanks guys! Now for a rear matching bumper 👍🍻

Because that bumper is aluminum, would it be safe to lift the vehicle by the bumper with a hi lift jack?

I asked that a couple pages back and I don't think anyone has tried it, yet.

@AMAESING Looks great. Did you wire the middle lights or other to the old fog light switch on the stalk? Did you cut and splice or what? Details Please.
Middle lights are wired separately on its own line n switch, the side markers use the existing wiring, cut n splice and g2g. Adding a slim light bar to finish it all off. As for recovery, I'd say use the existing steel body frame recovery points to be safe when towing or high lifting imo.

@AMAESING Truck looks great!

@Riviera @LEX I wouldn't use a high lift jack on the bumper unless it was a last resort. I think, like @AMAESING suggests, a sling to the factory hook up front would be the way to go. Having said that, if I needed to save my family from being stranded, I would not hesitate. Then deal with what ever scars or damage may have been sustained. Remember, the wings/center section can be replaced...
