Well this Kavik dude seems to of duggen a hole and covered his self up, no activity since Sept 4 I believe. I sent him an e-mail on Sept. 3, said I was ready to buy and send payment, he sent me an email back that said "I'll get back to you." Waited two weeks and inquired again on the 17th, he replied the same day and said "I'll get back to you," still waiting to hear from him 5 weeks later, I hope the guy is allright.

After I posted above on Oct 23, he sent me an e-mail the next day.

Said he was having laser shop problems and had no idea when he would be back up and running. He said he would update as new info available. I haven't heard any more so I guess nothing new.

This is really unfortunate to hear. My buddy won a Kavik bumper two years ago at 100s in the Hills 8. He's been waiting forever and kept getting the "yea it's coming, yea it's coming."

It's disappointing that Kavik is seemingly out of business, but it makes sense. If your product is only as good as your word, then I'm not sure this bumper could have been that good.

Bumper quality is amazing, craftsmanship is much higher than the ARB/TJMs I’ve owned. I think the small quantities of our niche market are hard for small businesses. Sorry to hear folks can’t get them -

As an owner of one of these bumpers I can say that the quality is incredible! Hope all is ok with him. Though at the price he did these at in all aluminum it makes sense that he might not have been turning a big profit on these.

Yeah I really wanted one, it would have been sweet on my LX. Unfortunately, even if he called today and was ready to ship me one, I am having some catastrophic repairs done on my VGRS system so the budget for the bumper is shot for now.

I think the guy is on the up and up, he sold quite a few of these and seems to have had some very satisfied buyers.

I’ll say one thing, there are places that would have had you go ahead and send in your money, even though they had no idea when they would have a bumper for you. Kavik doesn’t operate that way. If he ever comes back online I’m going to try to get one.

Looks like I will be selling mine, bought a 80 and gave my wife the 100 and she wants a Slee Blueberry bumper. Of course she wants one of the more expensive bumpers made . Once I buy and install I will be putting it up for sale in the classifieds.

Had my Kavik bumper for over a year through a winter and New England salt belt. Still looks great. I have had many compliments and questions about it. Mine did not fit as perfect as others because my truck must have had a fender bender at one point and the stock bumper was bent. Sent Kavik a private message and we talked about how to adjust his bumper to fix the body gaps. Really genuine guy. It does scare me if one of the wings ever got damaged I would not be able to replace it from him.

I’ll say one thing, there are places that would have had you go ahead and send in your money, even though they had no idea when they would have a bumper for you. Kavik doesn’t operate that way. If he ever comes back online I’m going to try to get one.

This is very true. I learned the hard way. I am still waiting on a well known vendor 1 1/2 years for something fully paid for.

I have a Kavik bumper w/ bullbar on my LC and the quality is top notch. It did take about 4 months longer than quoted to receive, but I think that's not terribly uncommon for a custom built product like this. I never felt like I was going to be ripped off or anything. Hope he's able to work things.

I'm thinking I might get a Dissent rear bumper and might want the front to match. If anyone is interested in my Kavik, let me know. I wouldn't ship it, so you would need to pick up in CA.
