I totally forgot you stretched your frame!!! I just did this on my UTE build, wish I had this to reference when I was doing research. I added in the same spot, but did an inner sleeve

We had an inner portion too. It was pretty slick how it all came together. Spent a LOT of time figuring it all out.

So what's the plan on your 40 full strip and rebuild or patina and back on the road. They don't come in that condition very often she would look good with some polish. ;)

The plan for the 40....good question. I don't really care much for restoration trucks so I won't go that direction most likely. I usually build my trucks with 3FE motors, 4 speeds, disc brakes, FJ60 power steering. I'm not sure on this one. It's so complete, I kind of feel like it would take away some of it's character. So maybe a small Old Man Emu suspension, get the drum brakes working and get it back on the road. I'd like to leave the body as is...recover the seats. I've been lucky in the past with removing the paint that was put on over the OEM....would be cool to get it back to the original color....inside. Not so much on the body. I like it.

Or maybe I'll restore it. Ha. Who knows. There are a couple of builds in front of it. And maybe a really sweet very rare FJ40 that will be joining it.

Figured maybe somebody would get a kick out of seeing this MB 4x4 Squared next to a 79 in what I would believe would be common site somewhere in the Gulf region but not so common in the US. Seriously bad ass truck. The MB is cool too. Ha.

Ha....its very douchey but man...it's impressive. Portal axles, KW dual coil overs, 4.0 biturbo, carbon fender arches........AND.....side exiting exhausts. Kinda cool.

When I look at the pics, I don't even see the MB.....just that 79. I'm obsessed with it. I still can't believe it's mine....every single time I see it. I've got issues.

I guess these 2 would be siblings.....finally getting our 45LV project on the road after a year of building. Neat truck. Not as cool as the 79.

One day soon this little mound is going to be a driveway and I won't get to take fun pics on it.

This has to be the coolest shop in the southwest. I still remember some of those car builds with all the custom carbon fiber, etc. GT-R's, 911's etc. Sweet Land Cruisers. Wild stuff.

If I could be the coolest shop in the SW while being in the SE, I'd really have something. Ha. We're here in good ol' FL.

We've always got something fun in here it seems. Right now it's Cruisers....we're loaded with them.

Haha I was on a night shift. Yep Southeast!
