My friend scored us some VIP tickets. That was great. Lots of perks including eating breakfast and watching the racers off the line for the big race. Then I got lazy and stopped taking pix.
In short.....great week. Was a bummer to see Loren lose a transmission just miles from finishing first. Congrst to GBR for their 3rd win.

It was great seeing you down there my friend! Truck looks great.

I've fallen behind on MUD... was about 6 months behind on your build. So cool Jack! I love how much you've already had it on the trails. Inspiring me to get my truck out of the garage!

It's been too long without an update. The fake 45 is still running great. Not much wheeling lately cause too many other distractions. I have been driving it to work occasionally and to run errands. Hopefully life will slow down a bit so I can get out wheeling soon.

Agreed.... very inspiring. I've got my 40 ready to back on the road... any day now.

The fake 45 has pretty much just been sitting since the heat has rolled in. I did, after much thinking, order some 4 inch lift Skyjacker springs. I am buried in other projects so who knows when I will install them.
When I do.....I will get some good shocks, adjust the bump stops, and do ubollt flips. Then top it off with some 33 x 1050s on the same rims.

Brought the fake 45 home from its summer slumber. Now that it's not boiling hot out......it's time to enjoy this truck again.
Unfortunately, it's gotta hang out in the backyard cause the 75 40 is still hogging the garage.

Took the fake 45 out for some mine exploring today. About rattled my teeth out on some of the wash board roads.
We found the mine, but no open portals.......until on the hike back. We could see some other possible openings. We decided to save those for another day.

These rigs like to have some weight in their caboose on those corrugated roads. My best ride is when I have 5 protein tubs (1000lbs) in the bed. I’m pretty sure you know this though. Great exploring, thanks for sharing.

My plan all along was to build this truck in a factory like setup. Then use it and determine the direction I would go. I like it and plan to keep it for awhile..... so there will be upgrades.
Tomorrow I plan to get it all cleaned up and ready for next weekends car show and swap meet.

I have great luck with low tire pressure on washboard roads... I run 8psi in the rear, 10 in the front. I feel like the tires take about 90% of the harshness out.
