Are you referring to your turbo project we haven't heard about for a year and a half?

There are plenty of updates on his thread. Plus, as picky and anal as this crowd is, if it's not perfect then i'm sure there will be tons of negative posts, so he's taking his time and doing it right the first time.

Yep, that's the one I REALLY liked. What year Isuzu Trooper was that? And I'm guessing you'd hafta buy the entire hood, since if it's an OEM scoop, it was built into the hood, not sold separately...

98 .. and no .. you don't need to buy the complete hood ..

I'm at the stage of designing the liquid/air intercooler for my turbo and designing a SC intercooler is a slam dunk.

I've contacted a guy on the board to be a test bed. The biggest issue now is he has dual batteries which utilizes the second battery tray where I will be mounting my tank. So I need to work out a new tank location as most people will have dual batteries.

well smart ass it does take time to design and fabricate custom parts not to mention quite a few dollars.

All that I have left is to to design a few brackets for the heat exchanger and the tank.

This summer has been a busy one with both kids graduating, driving my daughter 3250 miles out to San Jose last week and then taking the rest to Moab in July.

I hope to have things wrapped up this fall.

Glad to hear the design will accomadate us with dual batteries.

What if we have a corolla window washer fluid bottle setup in the rear passenger side corner aka George's post supercharger mod?

the tank is going to be a challenge if it is to be of any meaningful size.

On my truck the plan is to use one the size of a 27F battery and have it share the duty with the overflow for the radiator.

That way I can remove the overflow tank giving me the room to mount the pump on the front of my tank.

This gives good capacity, easy mounting and it's nothing more than a box with a few bungs.

Going elsewhere will likely add cost.

I too have dual batteries and I am switching the window washer bottle to one from a 91'-92' using your charcoal canister relocation bracket and a '91-'92 stock fuse block bracket. That frees up the stock windshield washer bottle.
How about using the FZJ80 stock washer fluid bottle relocated with the Slee bracket as a coolant resoivoir for a top mount liquid/air intercooler? Will the plastic bottle suffice or is something more sturdy needed?

Not everyone has their second battery there;)

Hmm...It's not listed as a part available here in the US. Not even as an option. And the hood schematic shows a plain hood, no scoop. IsuzuParts.com :: Original parts for your Isuzu. I'm wondering if we even had that model turbo diesel Trooper here in the US...

Can you get your hands on a new scoop? If so, I'd be very interested in buying one from ya...

I will call to the local isuzu dealer and see what I get .. ( I was looking for one nused .. not are not that common .. ) but to be honest my first option it's the nissan frontier one ..

I haven't seen a closeup of the Frontier, but the Trooper one looks perfect to me. So yea plz lemme know what you come up with.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to be a smart ass. I searched and found your mainfold build thread with the last post being 1.5 years ago, not your turbo build thread that is current as of last month. I was really just curious if you were referring to that or a SC IC as I don't recall reading anything about that prior. That 's the problem with written word, you can infer tone when it wasn't intended.

No Problem, I myself have been on edge for a few months now with all that is going on. I wanted to take the Turbo truck out west but have to scrap that idea and get the trail truck ready instead.

in the works :D

I'm one of those in the "about to install my S/C" category, and was exploring an inter-cooler of some sort (air to water seemed to be more practical to me).

A kit would be awesome, I'd be in on one for sure. Subscribed.

I've got the brackets made for the radiator but am needing to get my hands on the extension piece that mounts to the intake for designing the actual intercooler. I've been in contact with a member here but it hasn't happened as of yet.

I just need one for a short time to ensure what I make will actually bolt on.

Ahh. Ok. I would send you mine but am curently away from my cruiser for the time being. If you can't source it locally. I could send it to you later on.
In the meanwhile, maybe some dimensions of the piece are foating around Mud?
