In need of a CDL Actuator TOYOTA 36410-60050, Getting hard to find !! (1 Viewer)

So I have received two CDL actuators one from an 80 and one from a 100. Initially it looked easy enough to make a transition harness that would allow the 100 series to plug into the 80 series harness. However, while the 5 pin plug looks like the same plug used on the MAF sensor in an 80 it's side keys are 180* out from the MAF plug.

I need to find the part number for that housing to put together a harness. Typically the last 5 digits of the part number is molded into the housing if somebody has access to a 100 series harness.

So I've mapped out the wiring and found the part number for the 80 connector and believe I know what the 100 connector is and where to find it.
May pm you about this doing an ls swap with new 100 series tcase pretty sure I'm gonna need an adapter harness.

Just pulled it off a 94' was working fine when I parked it.

Would be very interested in where this goes.. My CDL went bad.. bought one from Dubai.. worked great.. but now they are non-existent like everyone already knows. If the one for the 100 series can be made to work... that would be huge.

There are currently 3 in the US. It is a discontinued part.

Chop-chop.

We have (3) on the shelf too :D. I have one or two in the ‘Kurt stash’ for long term hoarding purposes.

As for using the 100 CDL actuator on the 80 case, 100% works. We’ve got many of the 100 actuators and have the conversion harness featuring OE connectors for use in the 80 Series. We supply the actuator/harness as a set or as part of our complete HF2A/HF2AV t-cases for fitment in the 80 Series. These are in cue to get added to our CruiserTeq.com site as time allows.

I know you have one in your special stash! LMAO

You‘d be surprised what NOS I’ve hoarded over the years. But not that one

Now THAT'D be a really cool LC parts tour

My collection of NOS parts would take a few hours to crawl through, childs play. I inspected a collection of Land Cruiser parts that took 2ppl, two long days. New FJ55 sheet metal, new OEM radio kits in the box, new Aisan carbs, new 4x Series factory soft tops in bags. Thousands of items. Wild. @cruiserdan (whom is sworn to secrecy like myself) has the lists as I recall. Absolutely amazing stuff.

Speaking of Dan, we installed a new 36410-60050 on his 80 recently. He kept the old working unit in a box. I suspect he has some personal parts treasures too :D

My NOS stash is chump change compared to Kurt's.

Still not on CruiserTeq.com (lots in queue for Bryce to add at current) but they are available for order. Again this is a brand new CDL motor w/harness for fitment in the 80 Series. These can also be purchased with our new HF2A cases with stock and/or custom gearing.

New 100 CDL motor (part# ELEC3641010X) and an early version of our harness.

Here it is installed/operating just as planned on a 1994 FZJ80. We've tested it thoroughly on all model 80's

Okay i finaly got a replacement CDL actuator. Mine had a burnt up rotor so i've got a used cdl actuator to repaire my almost new actuator that came installed on my jdm lc. Beeing a 1000$usd + replacement part, i've decided to repair my burnt up rotor so i would have a working spare.
Note:
I have greased up the internal gears on both actuators.
I have replaced the fillips screws on both actuators to regular m6 bolts.
I have used anti-seize on all fasteners because they like to seize up.

I am not a professional motor winder and this was the very first time i was doing something like this. My goal was to at least salvage the good rotor from the used cdl actuator and fix my actuator for less than 500$. As a plus, i wanted to try fixing my rotor to get a good spare in the end.

Here is the thing:

I was worried that the job would take some time and i wanted the vehicule to remain driveable for groceries and beer. I have made up this cdl blanking plate to install it in the meantime.

Now the fun began. I finaly had both cdl actuators sitting on a table ! There i could examine both rotor and prepare for rewinding the burnt up one.

The burnt up rotor only had 1 complete coil the was burnt up. I have removed all the crapped out wires off the coil.
