If someone gave you a $1000 and told you to spend it on your FJ, what would U do/buy

Okay, so I sold a few items on Craigslist that I don't use anymore, and my wife said I could use that $1000 on the FJ.... but I could use some ideas of what others might or could do with $1000.

I'd try & score a M1008 CUCV from govliquidation.com. Then, swap the LC body on the M1008's chassis. A lot of work, but your new drivetrain will be far superior than what you already have.

IIRC, you have a '78, so you already have disk fronts. You just finished painting it and you have new seats. Honestly, the best $$ I spent on my rig was PS. I did the mini-truck and I'm very happy with it, but a good Saginaw or 60 series setup would be great, too (some would say better than the mini truck). Get the brackets from Georg (orangfj45, I think it is).....they're stout.

I had this EXACT senario....won $1000 cash at work, and put it all in my FJ40. I got Knuckle rebuild kit, bought power steering parts, and rebuilt my rear drums.

$1000 seems like a lot of money till you start buying parts.
