What would you do? Paint the interior or leave it with natural patina ?

Hi, I recently purchased a 76 FJ40 that is an original vehicle. The previous owner did an exterior tidy up (Documented pics of rust cutout, etc) but has left the interior untouched.

Since I have owned it, I have i have installed the Terrain Tamer 2" lift kit, rebuilt the carb changed the waterpump and have done a tidy up of the engine bay. ( Powdercoted fan shroud, housings etc)

Do you think I should strip the interior and paint it to match the exterior or leave it as it is?

Exterior is top condition, just waiting on the new bumper to suit the Warn 8274 winch

X2^^^ Yep, might as well jump on in.

Congrats on your purchase. Beautiful!!!

Definitely do the inside. Still not sure how the word "patina" came to mean missing paint with intermingled rust spots.

Edit: Should have also said congratulations. That's a great looking 40.

ElSpiffio!. Nice rig. Mine didn't look that nice 40 years. I consider 40's a working rig as you can take them hunting and go get your downed elk, pin stripes be dammed crawl speed ahead.

Its like a gallon of paint to shoot the inside. I would do it and make fitted removable carpet for the back and the foot wells up front.
Took 3 gallons of flat tan to do mine 7 coats outside 5 on inside.
