Here I am taking about working on Cruisers full time and next post I’m showing off myself paying my buddy to work on my 200 for me.

Just picked up my 200 from Austin.

149,000 mile service.

Full DBA brake build and system flush
Transmission Pan drop/filter/OEM fluid
90wt all around
Spark plugs
Coolant Flush and replace.

Brakes are amazing. I can’t believe how these things grab. Nice upgrade.

The rest of the stuff was piece of mind moving forward.

Round 2 of tow rig /DD retirement was to get a 24 gallon LRA and a Slee rear bumper installed at @Ozark cruiser ’s shop, Ozark Overland Outfitters. He has done a ton of both of these mods and I trust him to do this versus me muddling through learning how myself when I can be in my own shop working on stuff I know how to do

Yeah rides real nice, full or empty I think. Which rear springs are you running?

Have you been forewarned about fuel boiling issues? I never had issues until adding the second tank. It's only happened twice, but a concern if you plan to adventure in it as I know you will. I've wrapped the exhaust as recommended by LRA to mitigate heat near the tank, but I'm not sure if anyone has a solid solution yet.

I'd be curious how yours has venting routed. Slee installed mine. They have also installed many which is why I made the 8 hr trip to have them install it. I've had boiling in Canyonlands and about 9k ft close to home. My venting is tucked up under the rear quarter panel near the fuel filler.

Venting runs thru factory filter and then tucked up high as possible in quarter panel. I use a different filter at the intake than what lra gives that I feel is more resistant to water ingress as easy but it’s in basically same place as yours. I’ve not had any problems with boiling on any of my installs.

His rear springs are the old spec c59-599 Dobinsons coils

Vapor real bad makes it push out the fill cap. Similar to what a 80 does when charcoal canister is plugged up

And just like an 80 it really seems to mostly happen with extreme temperature and/or elevation, slight fuel smell and on rare occasions a temporary CEL.

The handful of good experienced LC installers seem to have good solutions and my experience is it is more difficult to solve with the 12 gallon tank due to how tightly it fits to accommodate the spare.

200’s seem somewhat finicky with fuel tank pressure even without the LRA tanks. I have experienced on a couple of occasions that there’s enough pressure to cut off the gas pump (at a gas station ) at only a little more than 3/4 full, this has happened on both LRA and non LRA 200’s I have owned a couple of times mid way on long trips and hot days.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Never had my pump cut off. Both times it has happened to me were after a least of hour of crawling in 4 low with outside temps in the 80-90 degree range. Both tanks pretty full because we're starting a long journey. No CEL at 9k ft but I did get one the second time it happened at around 5k feet on Elephant Hill trail.

There have been a few threads about the boiling. I just figured I'd chime in here on your thread to see if you and Jason come up with a solution when installing yours. LRA recommended insulating the exhaust to reduce heat to the secondary tank. Some other ideas on this thread:

If you want some more help, this stuff is amazing. I use it on FJ40 transmission humps (underside). It’s made to get muddy and wet and not die. Line the tank near the exhaust with it.

Which stuff? Do you mean the heat shield mentioned in that thread I linked?

Also looks like @Ozark cruiser coated your LRA tank? Anything special he used on that?
