I got the story of that sign from my 94 year old father in Seattle, WA. this morning. His name is Curt and he has been everywhere and done everything, I kid you not. For those so interested the Northern Pacific Railroad had established as a prime mover of live pigs to markets in the east. They were fast and ran rail cars with two levels of porkers in each car. Well as is no surprise in our world people became concerned and vocal about the pigs on the bottom of the cars. They were subject to a certain shall we say fall out. Witch probably did not bother the pigs as much as the vocal critics. NP took steps to accommodate the swine passengers and dubbed them getting royal treatment on the way to slaughter. Hence the crown and the reference to a palace on the on the sign. This went all the cars to address any concern about the comfort along the way.
I hope you enjoy this story as much as I did,
Eric.

Great bit of history, thanks!

Decluttering seems to be big thing right now. I have figured out the secret to success!!

Get dumpster with 6’ walls so the wife can’t see what your throwing away!

My wife would climb that without hesitation. Need one with a top and a locking door. :D

Son dragged home a 6th vehicle today 💩

The old boy that watched it leave was in tough shape, one owner car he bought out of the showroom.

1977 Charger SE Midnight edition, 400 4bbl, all the options. Too bad it’s pretty much roached.

You will notice the trailer in one pic, front brakes locked up part way home, wouldn’t move unless the secondaries were open, not wanting to burn it to the ground we grabbed a trailer.

Coon trapping tonight! 2 days ago something got into duck pen in the night and killed three of our 5 grown ducks. Injured a 4th pretty good.

Put game camera up last night and shored up area away from ducks where we figured he got in. 2 am the little turd got in again, this time he wasn’t successful. Trap being set tonight. Hope to catch that little bastard.

On another note, is a small bead blaster worth it with all the small parts that need seriously cleaning on the 79 pig?

Meaning a blasting cabinet? I’m finding out the bigger the better. Inevitably, you’re gonna want to clean bigger parts.
Yes sir, got any recommendations?

When I built my Coop/ run I used expanded metal that they use doing mortar work, faux stone and 💩 like that. Layed it under the timbers in Coop and Run and has never been breached by Coons, Coyotes, Fox, Black Bears, Skunks, or Weasals or Fisher in 8+ years 😳🧐🤔🙂😉. Only thing that gets in is rats 🐀 🤮. But me Chickens are Gangster and Kill them 😲😳🤪😜😯🤣🤣

In all fairness, I haven’t done shyt to build their habitat outside of driving some posts for the wife. She has busted her butt but her design has a few weaknesses.

Tonight we hunt!!!!

I've got one of those cheap blast cabinets and they work, but not very well. I'd go for middle ground or a high dollar used one.

If you don't have any other animals (pets) loose then try antifreeze in a pan. Coons love it and it drops them real quick.

Maybe a couple of these, too...

Yeah, no can do, three big dogs I have to let out at night, but like your thinking there Ron. Not that I can’t put little inside the trap tonight.

Good luck. My coops have wire mesh everywhere including underneath the dirt.
