Good luck. My coops have wire mesh everywhere including underneath the dirt.
Kim has wire mesh everywhere also, the smart coon climbed on top and found small gap he could open.

Our snake encounters are down 95% since putting all the mesh down and around most of the pen.

The trap is set. Coon for dinner tomorrow!!

Son dragged home a 6th vehicle today 💩

The old boy that watched it leave was in tough shape, one owner car he bought out of the showroom.

1977 Charger SE Midnight edition, 400 4bbl, all the options. Too bad it’s pretty much roached.

You will notice the trailer in one pic, front brakes locked up part way home, wouldn’t move unless the secondaries were open, not wanting to burn it to the ground we grabbed a trailer.
Looks like he likes his Mopars!

Meaning a blasting cabinet? I’m finding out the bigger the better. Inevitably, you’re gonna want to clean bigger parts.
I can see where this would be true!
"Man, if only I could get the axles housing in there..."

In all fairness, I haven’t done shyt to build their habitat outside of driving some posts for the wife. She has busted her butt but her design has a few weaknesses.

Tonight we hunt!!!!
I hope it worked!

I've got one of those cheap blast cabinets and they work, but not very well. I'd go for middle ground or a high dollar used one.

If you don't have any other animals (pets) loose then try antifreeze in a pan. Coons love it and it drops them real quick.

Maybe a couple of these, too...

Anatolian?

Today’s clean shirt…I found it burried in the closet, son made me this several years ago ❤️

Got an afternoon of progress on the 55 too 🙌🏻

You can find them on Craigslist or FBMarketplace sometimes, otherwise Harbor Freight or Eastwood for the cheap ones.
The one I have is 27”L, 18” deep below the window, and 17” high from the inside grating to the ceiling. All in all, too dang small.
Don't waste your money on HF or other similar cheap ones, they work ok-ish once you upgrade the gun and other components, but aren't worth the hassle. You'll find they don't really do a good job either.

Look on CL or FB for a quality used one, they pop up pretty regularly or buy a good made in the USA one that will do a great job in 1/4 of the time as a cheap one: TP Tools

I will be in the market for one soon. Those look really nice; thanks for the advice. So how does the nozzle work on the foot pedal operated models? Don't you still have to hold the nozzle with one hand? Not sure I see a huge advantage over having the trigger on the nozzle, assuming you have to hold the nozzle with one hand regardless.

I hope it worked!
I'd like to say we have been successful in the coon hunt. Kelsey spent next day removing it's tail and is going to take it to CSU with her as a memento, love that girl. Lots of me in her with all her outdoor shenanigans. As of this morning we have trapped our third possum and Kelsey will take it to back of the property and release it like the others.

Pretty much had a wake up call yesterday. Turned 55 this week and for some reason began re-evaluating my life cause everything is going so darn well. Daughter gonna be closer this fall instead of Hawaii. Have incredible job working with some great people with bright future but does take a lot of my time as the medical director. Son in flying school, flying our little 182 everywhere including Oshkosh, WI this next weekend. Flying is another passion of mine and for last year I haven't done much of it which isn't a good thing. I pride myself on being a huge family guy, doing everything I can with the kids and wife when the opportunity arises.

My pig passion runs very deep and I dearly want to get something to be able to use now not later. The 69 I pray is closer from what I hear and it’s been a nightmare over the last two years. Outside of swapping the new 69 body to Delancy's old "flying pig" the reality of doing much else is kicking me in the ass. Delancy's isn't quite where I can make a daily driver and with the upcoming body swap I don't want to spend my energy on it wasting any dearly treasured time with my daughter while she is home.

I have a beautiful 1977 40 series that is probably 90% complete. We also have 1984 Bj45 that simply needs a windshield to drive around but somehow I just can't get it done. In addition to the windshield, I have like new 3B and H55 to plug into it while addressing the body in time.

In the last 7 months I acquired a beautiful 79 body (rolling chassis) from @Pigeaten that was someone else's dream project that didn't get finished. It's already painted that if someone wanted to touch it up they could just rebuild it. I simply don't want to fall into that same hole of not getting it done when someone else may benefit from it. I purchased new window seals from AUS for it recently. Most of the parts to complete it are there minus an engine. I just purchased some seriously nice rebuilt 60 axles which I hope to have delivered in the next 2 weeks since wife and I are also driving the RV up to WI for the airshow, not sure what I will do with these yet as Delancy's doesn't need them and once the swap is done I will be selling the 69 chassis with it's well running original engine and 3 on the tree.

Maybe I got a little wiser this week, probably not but my desire to just purchase someone else's pig that is complete so I can enjoy driving it everywhere seems to make better sense then my current projected path. It just makes sense to me if I can find a Pig I can enjoy now that's well proven and does what I want/need with the misses I should pursue that.

The wife and I are dying to get something we can go to the Pig Party's in since I looked at pics over the last few years just dreaming and I have to say not being any closer to being able to do this sure is frustrating at times!

Am I insane, demented or growing up?

We all get that reality check where we realize there’s more years behind us than in front. I have a shop and yard full of lost dreams. Reality says sell them all and enjoy the Sprinter van with my wife. The dreamer says keep some of them anyway. Who knows which direction is best? Our trajectory was completely altered by my wife’s stroke over 6 years ago. Enjoy your family while you all are still healthy is my advice. Everything else is just stuff.

I agree and I would be lying to say your situation along with some other good peoples misfortunes drives my thinking. I would never wish what you have gone through on anyone but it’s definitely demonstrated your deep love and commitment to your wife which I hold the utmost respect for. Your actions in the difficult situation you have are what we should all strive to do.
