Still working on finishing the Sprinter van so we can get some trips in. Had an old 4’x 5’ ConFer roof rack basket. Decided to use it to build a roof rack for the solar panels. Stretched the old rack into a 5’ x 10’ rack that attaches to the gutter rails. Used locally sourced red cedar for the decking. Holes are for the roof vents.

Nice! Plenty of red showing in that cedar, the red will never rot out on you. That tree was grown in the rocks, beautiful.

Wife having revision surgery on her brain shunt this Friday. Hoping she’s recovered enough to see the eclipse on the 8th of next month.

It sounds like a hip injury can be a definite turning point.

Back in the ICU with seizures less than 6 hours after leaving. Couldn’t try sleeping in with her again tonight. Rest in a hospital is an unknown. Home to get real sleep and shower, then bak first thing in morning.
