Thanks....the spacer allows the center caps to fit-im trying to avoid running spacers.

I don't think you will get caps on either way. I could put the rears on, but fronts I believe still interferes even with the spacers.

Fully loaded trip weight around 8500# including family. Around town weight about 7300#. Full armor, gear, drawers, aux tank, 80L water, RTT, awn all the stuff. To handle the load I’ve upgraded suspension, control arms, axles, need to do a BBK next.

Hey bro! Interested I. Knowing what coils you put in it. I’m around the same weight. Also did you updated the axels or Axel housing

Thanks

Slee “heavies” are what I’d recommend for that kind of build. You can see mine in the link below.

I ran Slee Heavies for a while but they only are about a 330# coil or so. I swapped those out for Dobinsons 319 coils that I’ve had in there for 50K+ miles and love them. They are taller and the highest spring rate I could find at 375#. I’ve actually added a 30mm spacer to those too to give me 4-4.5” lift.

I’d love to upgrade the rear axle but no, it’s original with RCV inner axles. I think the housing is slightly bent or bowed from the load and use.

How much does your rig weigh ?

Interesting. So you went with the 319 that are 6in lift but works best cus if the weight. Cool

I’m around 8.500lbs. Most of my weight is at the back since I chopped my 80.

How does your truck do with temps? Are you reguered?

Full full week long trip weight including my fam and all fluids I’m around 8500.

Yeah the 319s are spec’d to give 6” of lift with 220# of load over stock weight. 375# spring x 2 is 750#, so the truck will lower an inch every additional 750# of load. If you compute that you will get a 4” lift with 1720# of load over stock or a 3” lift with 2470# of load over stock.

I still like to wheel my truck and take it on challenging terrain so airbags were never considered. Being undersprung with too low a spring rate on a heavy truck sucks, as bottoming out is likely and often, and the ride gets bouncy and loose, even with good shocks.

These coils have the highest spring rate I could find and I can say they feel really good on highway, mountains, washboard/high speed dirt and rocky crawling situations. Of course that all isn’t acheived just by coils. I’ve upgraded shocks and added upgraded bump stops, control arms, axles and swaybars.

I’ve also regeared to 4.88 with underdrive. My temps are good. Cooling system overhaul was done years ago and upgraded fan clutch with a leak free system.

recently weighed my 37" tires + steel wheels (95lb), and ARB front bumper (114lb) and thought I share here

Tires are Comforser CF 3000 37x12.50 R17. I believe the steel wheels are the same type as used on certain FJ Cruisers but not sure where exactly they came from.

The whole rig is about 5,500lb but I don't know exactly, only have a weight scale ticket with it being on the trailer
