anyone running these have any data on fuel economy improvements on the 2bbl kits?

Or is this just a $2k mod for Prius/cruiser owners to get that first turn of the key prius startup?

I didn't notice anything substantial when I remembered to check. Like ~12mpg or so with it. If your carb runs fine I don't see much reason to replace it. My carb was jacked up and ran super rich on the road and was god awful with any incline offroading. So a few hundred dollars and send it out to get rebuilt or spend a little more on EFI. Course some people replace a 2 year old truck with the exact same model, and I don't see much reason to do that either lol

I picked up a sniper 2300 without the kit. I figured I’d piece together. Anyone with the kit have a list of parts included with the kit? I have a walbro fuel pump and some other odds and ends from other projects just want a list to get the rest. Any help appreciated.

I found this,
Holley Sniper EFI Master Kits include everything you will need to get your new Sniper EFI throttle body setup and running on any of your vehicles. Master Kits include 20 feet of 3/8" EFI fuel hose, in-line electric fuel pump, pre and post filters, return bulkhead, and all of the needed fuel fittings and hardware to get your system plumbed, wired up and running in no time.
Mine also came with the Clamp-on Oxygen Sensor Bung.

Thanks for the info. I found the list on Holley site.

One issue with the sniper fuel kit is the fuel fittings. They don't work with the way the tbi sits in relation to the fuel line routing.
You will need to purchase two fittings.
One 45 degree and one 90 degree. You can also choose 2 45 degree fittings.
Otherwise the return fuel line kinks against the intake manifold.
The feed line is okay, but I prefer the 90 to get it looking good and in the right direction.
Also prepare to do some electrical work.

Don’t you also need the adapter plate between the intake manifold and the Holley Sniper?

I have one that may work but @Downey has all that. I’ll picking up some stuff from him as well when the time comes

FWIW - If anyone wants to buy a Sniper 2300 kit specific for Land Cruisers F & 2F engines, I believe @FJ60Cam has put the entire package together.

FWIW, I think Cam makes a great kit, but I was not crazy about the in-tank fuel pump option he provides. I don't see how it can possibly be mounted at the lowest spot in the tank and not interfere with the fuel float gauge.

You can check out how I plumbed my in-tank pump in my build thread here.

With the Sniper 2300 install, I've seen where the OEM carb base insulator is used and more photos of it not used. What is the general consensus on the use of the carb base insulator with this install? Maybe it depends on the year or setup?

I never had one to start with or I would have used one. it would not hurt with the heat that incurs at the base of the manifold. But I have had no problems with out it 2 years now.

The carb base should be used.
Especially one with the insulator attached. It helps with placing the tb high enough to clear all possible interference issues like the accelerator linkage, fuel line routing, as well as getting it further away from the heat of the manifold.
Also, if you don't use one, the adapter will need to be ground down to clear the inner mounting bolt for the exhaust manifold that runs through the intake manifold.

My insulator has the hook up for pcv hose. Where does that hose go if no insulator?
