Like many of you that are looking to go larger tires the cost of 37's can be rather high. Well after lot of debating of what to do I finally found a "vendor" that had the solution that allowed me to bolt HMMWV Military Wheels and tires to my rig. Wow! I was in love with the image of the FZJ80 sitting on 37's with 24 Bolt Double Bead locks.

I had to have a set and now. So the first thing I did was order a set for my H2 with 2" spacers. I was immediately in love with them.

Well I had to have a set on the FZJ80 and i did some digging and found that they were no longer available from the vendor. So i got a hold of a machine shop that I have worked with in the past. I did the measuring and all I needed to do to fit these wheels. Well the first set was made and it was off by an inch. Then the second set was made and it was perfect and finally a solid block of aluminium was thrown in the CNC machine and bam these suckers are now finished. The hardware is designed to be as strong as the wheels themselves.

So without futher adieu I give you my somewhat labor of love for the last 2 months, the HMMWV Bolt On Wheel Adapters for the FZJ80. (Please forgive the quality of the pictures. Someone stole my iPhone 6+ and i'm using my old HTC Evo. I need @jcardona1 to take these pics)

Good luck to you Autoluxury. I think this is a very good idea for those looking for 37's and dual beadlocks. But just like in the original thread, and like nukegoat did here, this crowd can't wrap their head around how much these cost to make. Seeing as they are close to $400 in raw aluminum, the studs and machine time equalling $750. But if they had to go buy an 18"x8" block of solid aluminum they would get it. Lol

Can't wait to see a set on your cruiser and like I said good luck! I think ems sold 4 sets all together and only 1 guy was on mud.

Your price is too high. They are available for less. I have a set of 5 of these from elsewhere which were less than half of your price.

700 bucks for wheel spacers to adapt 6x5.5 to 8x6.5???

I hate to join in on the parade, but I paid less than that for my recentered H1's with the correct pattern. No spacers required. Great idea, but man is that steep.

Link to the other set? These are not just, 1.5" spacers which Btw if you get from spidertrax are $200 a set and these are almost 3x as thick and low volume requiring a lot more machining. I have no vested interest in this product but it is priced accordingly unless someone else can show where forged, CNC'd, 4+" thick, hub and lug centric adapters are cheaper.

i like it but the price is too high for me to bite. i understand that the cost are high but just like a fancy bumper, i simply cannot afford it. i just recentered my H1 wheels for like 250 bucks and they work just fine and now have 3 sets of H1 wheels for what 1 set of adapters cost.

Hope this isnt too off the topic, but did you put them on your 80 and the H2? Pics on the 80? I just love looking at them. Wouldnt fit on my FJ anyway lol

I think the selling point would be that you spend the coin for the spacers and then you save on being able to buy 37" military tires.
On another note are these the same spacer EMS developed?

or you can just cut out the center of the H1 wheels and run it without adapters. here is a picture of my tacoma on H1 wheels. counting the centers, all 5 wheels and tires i have less than $1000 in them.

Running these and just one set (5) of nearly new GY 37" and HMMV rims will have paid for the adapters, everything forward will just be sweet ROI as a set rims and tires delivered almost anywhere in the lower 48 is under $1000.

Last I checked you couldn't buy a set of tires in scrawny 285's for under $1000.

Here are 90%+ GY BFG's for $175 http://www.militaryoffroadtires.net/product-p/t-bfg37.htm

OR TWF has 24 bolt with a welded rock ring plus a 95%+ GY Wrangler MT for $311 each, not sure where else you can get a rim and tire combo like this for this little scratch. http://www.trailworthyfab.com/Stock-24-Bolt-Hummer-Wheels-w-TIRES-WHL-12BTires1.html

Don't want a MT then GY AT's can be had all day long for $150.

I know people have recentered these for less and bought spacers for less and that maybe OK for a trail rig or PT driver but for a DD this solution is really the only viable one. I know there are a few on here that have recentered and have had the highway death wobble and can vouch to how scary it is.

Those spacers look real nice and well made! Looks like you need a good torque wrench and a lot of red loctite!!

A good alternative to the spacers is Trail Worthy Fab
Those Trail Worthy wheels are what I would do if I wanted Hummer wheels. At that price it's a no brainer

Thank you. I had one some interest in the original thread for making these.

Yes I know some are available for less. However, these link you PMed me was for two inch one piece and they were not hub centric nor lug centric and only two inches thick.

This allows you to leave the H1 wheel alone and not alter its original construction. This you only bolt it on. Weekends great in the event you have to replace a wheel.

Thanks
I found a set for the Jeep jk's, but they are only 2.5" thick and are $550. So seems about right.
Thank you. This is the cheapest you can get them
whats the point?
Bolt on double bead lock steel wheels that allow you to rock 37" tires cheap.
If you have to ask, not in the target demographic. You get 37" dual beadlocks for less than half the price of 37's on single aluminum beadlocks
Those things can get pricey

Thanks for you input. Send me a link to the recentered place.

Yes I did both. Then the 80 needed a new injector so it isn't running right now. I will put them on soon again.
I think the selling point would be that you spend the coin for the spacers and then you save on being able to buy 37" military tires.

Similar but tweaked to be a stronger design when clamped together.

Torque wrench and no loctite. They bond and fit into one another so well they will not come apart if you torque them right. Part of the design is to prevent them from undoing themselves.
